Music quite literally creates the light and shade to any event, and at every stage it needs to be carefully planned to reflect the ethos and style of the hosts. Anyone can book a band, but how do you know if they are right for your personal style and can meet the expectations of your guests? Will the band bring the big energy your looking for, or overwhelm your event? And yet choosing and project managing the many intangible elements of providing music for your guests can be daunting. Hocus Pocus take the guess work out of it. Choosing with extensive experience, from a selection of gifted musicians, we ensure that you have the musical solution that not only suits your personal taste but blends with the style and genre of your event. Every musical choice is then managed behind the scenes by your on-site dedicated musical event planner, ensuring all is deployed to your specific requirements and adjusted to include ad hoc requests and changing timelines. All you need to do is simply sit back/dance your way through your event. Whilst back stage, If the meal or speaches are running late, we work with your other suppliers on site and adjust things on the fly. The top 5 mistakes when booking a live band/venue for your wedding, 1). Having the bar in another room from the dance floor, this is a common bad mistake, for the best party spirit, keep all your guests together. 2) Booking a venue where your guests have to go miles away to have a cigarette, again avoid creating an opportunity for separation, where your guests can drift away, it can quite literally kill a party. Just because you dont smoke, many do, and you will loose them to the pavement if your not careful, try and book a venue that has a balcony or terrace just off your party room 3) Don't have a long break in between band sets, this again can drop the mood dramatically, keep your guests on a pumping high until its time for your departure, and always leave them wanting more. 4) Forget to consider how your guests will get themselves out of a wet field next to the marquee, always ensure you have plenty of lights, and lots of straw on the ground so cars can leave easily even in the worst of weather. 5) Ensure your band have the freedom to take the music in another direction and are prepared to do so if necessary. What might suit your taste in music, might not be what your guests want to hear on the night. The evening party is the moment when you all want to come together and throw some moves on the dance floor. Make sure you talk to the agent of the band in advance to do what ever it takes to keep the dance floor packed. Picking a proffesional quality band, will ensure they are well equipped to do this on the fly.

The best band we have ever used, love them, wouldn't book anyone else, too many tone deaf, dull, divas out there passing themselves off as professionals when its more like herding cats if you get the wrong band.
