🎯 On Wednesday, September 25th, Cooperativa Dafne presented our project at the national headquarters of Legacoop Nazionale in Rome (Italy), during the Sustainability Report presentation event!

DIANA was included as a Best Practice, highlighting the project’s aim to define the “Compendium of Best Practices for Accessibility and Inclusive Tourism in Protected Areas”.

🆕After a summer break, we are pleased to announce that the “Compendium of Best Practices in Accessibility and Inclusive Tourism in Protected Areas” is now available online!

🎯The Compendium has been meticulously developed to collect, analyze and document Best Practices and accessible solutions implemented in protected natural areas across Europe, with a focus on Italy, North Macedonia and Spain.

Currently, is available only in English. We are working on translating the document into other languages to make it accessible to a wider audience!

🇲🇰 Balkania - Balkan Association for Alternative Tourism hosted the second in North Macedonia with stakeholders!

🎯 The primary aim of the event was to bring together local disability organizations, tourism professionals and public authorities to discuss accessibility issues in Macedonia’s natural areas, identify specific challenges and explore potential solutions.

📥The first in-person event among DIANA’s partners was organised by ABAT BALKANIA in Skopje, North Macedonia, on June 24th and 25th, 2024.

Representatives of Cooperativa Dafne and KOAN Consulting have been hosted to analyse the state of the art of the first intellectual output’s development: 📙a Compendium of best practices in and in protected natural areas.

A full agenda, during which partners discussed also dissemination actions, reporting, quality management, and future steps.

General objective of the Project: To promote an inclusive cultural participation of tourists with disabilities and specific access needs in visiting protected natural areas, breaking down the barriers and transforming the limit into a resource on which to base the visit itinerary, by strengthening the accessible hospitality compentences and skills of tourism operators working in natural areas , in particular nature and hiking guides.
