Autumn is here! The grapes have been harvested, the leaves are taking on golden hues, and we recently bid farewell to our final guests of the season. We'd like to say a huge thank you to all our guests for choosing the villa for your holiday. It has been a wonderful summer, and we've thoroughly enjoyed welcoming you to our corner of France. We look forward to seeing many of you again next year. Wishing you a warm and peaceful winter...until the next time!

In Saintes yesterday: a small city in our area that is well worth a visit, as it has so much to offer. A Roman city, it has a lot to see, including the impressive Arc de Germanicus (seen in the video) on the banks of the river. The city has well-preserved ruins of a Roman amphitheatre, an abbey and a cathedral, as well as a good selection of cafés and restaurants, and markets and shops.
It feels as though we have only just celebrated the new year, but already February is here and spring is just around the corner! If your mind is turning to holidays, we still have vacancies in May/June and September/October!

We were treated to a wonderful spectacle last night, as the Porte Saint-Jacques on the banks of the river Charente in Cognac was transformed into a projection canvas, while the history of the city of Cognac was retraced by means of video mapping
