Here I thought all my dates were booked for the summer, and I realize that a recent two week cancellation opened up a lot of days! I’ve already had two bookings for that time frame - but there’s still some dates left. Mention this post and I’ll give a ten percent discount.

The movie MISTY, which is based on the 1947 novel Misty of Chincoteague, was primarily filmed on Chincoteague and Assateague islands. Some residents of Chincoteague were given minor or background roles in the production.

After 20th Century Fox finished filming in August 1960, the crew was honored with a celebration at the carnival grounds. A delightful photograph captures Ralph Beebe, Phantom Wings (Misty's first foal, born earlier that year), Misty, Marguerite Henry, and Arthur O'Connell (who played Grandpa Beebe in the film) during the festivities.

The house is open to be booked from today until Friday. Anyone who wants to make a last minute booking will get use of the golf cart for $25/day (reserved through Fenderly). After these five days, it’s booked until mid-September, so now is your chance!!

Sea Haven is open to book May 13-24th, but is fully booked for June and July, and much of August. This is my favorite time to go - before the summer rush.

One of our favorite things to do is walk on the beach just as the sun comes up. This day was a little chilly, but the waves sounded amazing.
