Horse Gulch lower trails should be dry again by Monday afternoon. Mike's and other North facing and shadowed areas are still holding snow, and mud. Give them another week to avoid ruining the Trail and your bike. Hospital trails are in good condition and riding nicely.

I rode the new Chicken Creek Trails the other day. They are tacky and ready to go down low but Lost Chicken better as an out and back from either side due to muddy spots. Most trails are old road so smooth and easy. Lost Chicken is true singletrack. Didn't go above due to mud. Turkey Creek is deep and fast, I wouldn't recommend crossing it. Park at the FS boundary on Chicken Creek Road or Mill Creek Road outside of Mancos.

Boggy draw is dry in places, muddy anywhere that holds water. McPhee Overlook in great shape up to Bean Canyon, then the trail turns to goo. Will be another couple weeks on that one.
Dolores Town Trail is a nice 2 mile trail to Road W from town: a couple stiff climbs. Needs to be ridden and packed in. Didn't ride the other trails due to mud situation on Bean.

Phil's World is really fast and fun right now. No dust! Flowers, Simon Creek running.

Rode Upper Boneyard in Farmington today for a nice 3 hour 15 mile nearly all singletrack loop. The Upper Boneyard trail is narrow and not as used as Lower Boneyard. It heads out and skirts Pinion Mesa into interesting terrain. The trail has a bit of everything but not super strenuous. More advanced riding skills needed. Lower Boneyard intermediate in difficulty.
Drive 3.5 miles out Twin Peaks Blvd (Pinion Hills turns into it after 6.2 miles) and park on the right. Head east over to the fence near Twin Peaks Blvd and squeeze through the gap. Turn left and ride north along the fence on dirt two track. At the end swing a little left toward the cattleguard and fence to pick up the singletrack. Keep with the most used singletrack for a few miles and then turn right on a faint trail with bike tracks when the main trail goes up a rock anf left. Use trailforks app to help find the route.

Farmington rides are dry and temperatures pleasant. We started at Twin Mounds and rode Boneyard and a couple out and backs on spurs. To get to the trailhead drive out Pinion Hills Blvd., cross La Plata Hwy and go 3.5 miles farther on the now Twin Peaks Blvd. to the rutted TH on the right. Coming from Durango you can take La Plata Hwy from Hesperus (about 50 miles) amd turn right on Twin Peaks.
Ride west along the paved road on a dirt spur and cross to south, descend almost into wash and turn right on the singletrack marked with just a small stake. You will cross the highway again, just follow the singletrack. It winds around canyon rims with just a small bit of technical. Turn left farther out for a bigger loop or turn right for the 9 mile loop. The bigger loop heads over to Pinion Mesa and eventually back.
It is confusing out here so best to go with someone who has ridden it. Trailforks has two loops here.

Hospital trails are riding great! Lots of new small additions to enjoy. I ran into a northern rider coming from Cowboy who said it was riding nicely over there too, just little patches of snow. I took all rights( sticking to the main trail) until up by the water tower, then made my way down and left at a lower junction and back to the trailhead.

Rode the new Aqueduct trails today! They are smooth, moderate, flowy with nice views and ancient Juniper trees. With the additional trails built this summer, we easily got 3 hours of fun singletrack riding. We took all lefts and rode Ridges, Mountain View, Pump Station, Rip Rap. Smooth gradual climbs and swoopy fast downhills didn't disappoint! Rip Rap takes you back for another loop or head back on Ridges and Evenflow.
From Mancos drive west on hwy 160 for 2 miles and turn right on Montezuma County Rd 39. Stay right at a sharp corner and continue to trailhead on right, just over 2 miles from the highway.

Riding is top notch at Phil's World and Sand Canyon right now. Riding from Simon Canyon TH at Phil's (29 road to M road) has some fun technical, lots of smooth fast sections, and lots of nice scenery. Hardly saw a soul out there. Likely Farmington, Aztec and the new Aqueduct loops in Mancos ( scroll down a few posts for directions)are dry also.
