As far as cards go, compare the options (I personally use the priority) - it costs more per year, but the $75 per year in travel credit makes it the same cost as the cheapest card and it comes with higher anniversary points and 4 upgraded boardings per year!
NO ONE NEEDS a travel credit card, but if you fly Southwest often, this is a great one to have!

When I envisioned our first hosted girls trip, I could have never imagined this.
The goal was simple. Create a safe travel opportunity for girls to escape their daily lives and responsibilities... and hopefully create some friendships in the process.
To think that life long friendships would be formed was something I couldn’t have predicted.
Dinner the first night flowed, but it wasn’t a table of people who were deeply connected. By the last night we cried, shared personal stories, and all bonded in ways I could have never seen.

The part to rooming in a girls trip you don’t think about until you’re forced to.
There’s no right answer here, but there is a warning when it comes to picking your roommate. When you join forces to split a room you are each taking equal responsibility for half the payment.
I suggest having the conversation prior to booking of what happens if we have to cancel. Of course you don’t plan on it happening, but if it does you’d rather be prepared. We’ll help you as much as we can giving you options/suggestions, but just keep this in mind.
Fixes that often can work. Having someone else join the group and take their spot (if flights aren’t involved we can modify names!) Joining another room of 2 making it a room of 3.
