A beautiful morning spent at Phare des Baleines. The sky was a beautiful shade of blue, the sun shining, and not too hot, which always helps when walking outside!!

We will be staying at one of our most favourite hotels in England this Sunday night, the Swan Hotel in Wells,Somerset. This will be our 6th Visit, but our first since this Historic Hotel was taken over by in September 2022! We are excited to see if this fantastic hotel has changed at all under new ownership. The previous owners were very inclusive and welcoming, which just added to its charm and history!!

Heading out for a gentle autumnal walk along the Newbury canal. Loving our daily 1 hour walk to help get rid of our Covid lockdown tummy 😊.

Enjoying a beautiful Autumnal morning. As you may be aware, or not, I am a mental disability survivor. Part of this means I am extremely hard on myself and for over 30 years I have found it extremely hard to accept any form of compliment or positivity. I cannot really put into words what this feels like. Anywho, I am genuinely trying to be more positive and trusting, and part of that means showing people when I am happy, sad, pondering, moody, insecure and every other feeling in between. Would love to connect with other mental disability survivors.

When it comes to travel, how many of you have a four legged family member to think about? Bentley absolutely loved his time in the Dordogne and was brilliant in the car. Definitely made the holiday for us.
•
•
•
One of my favourite countries to visit is France, specifically the Dordogne. I could spend months every year here given the chance. The history, architecture, weather, people, accommodation, are all wonderful. Looking forward to visiting in 2022.

When we have been fortunate to have a 3rd member of our family, we have always made sure that ww all travelled together, wether within the UK or in Europe. This is Tyson, who we had for many years before he passed. This was taken on an Autumnal visit to South Devon, where we all had a lovely time walking, eating and sleeping.
When I travel internationally, I love nothing more than to visit local gardens, especially Orchid Gardens. I had a lovely afternoon here in Singapore. What’s your favourite ‘go to’ when travelling?

question: How many of you still wear your mask when out and about? I am double jabbed, but still think it is best to wear my mask when outside and on public transportation.

I managed to visit this amazing museum in the heart of Taunton yesterday and spent a lovely 90 minutes mooching around at all the history Somerset has to offer. It is free to visit although you can leave a donation (recommended £3) which I happily did, as every penny counts. There is plenty for all the family to see and interact with. Definitely worth visiting next time you are in Taunton Somerset.

Hard to believe this photo was taken 13 years ago in Carcassonne on the 1st day of our holiday. I had just turned 40 and we had worked flat out for the best part of 7 months. We picked a remote spa town (really a hamlet) high up in the Pyrénées. It was tranquil, with stunning views, so heaven to me.

Caught on the hop. It was a lovely Spring evening when my partner managed to grab this snap 😊. This was the trip that got me thinking and where I came up with the Everyone Is Welcome Campaign!

At the ripe old age of 53, I am having to come to terms with a mental disability, HF Autism. It is hard to describe just how hard this diagnosis hit me in a positive as well as a negative way. One of the issues I have always had is extreme lack of self esteem. I hated the way I looked and still do to this day. This has meant for most of my life I have shied away from having my photo taken. My Everyone Is Welcome campaign has meant that I have had to address this issue, as I believe in it so strongly that I have literally forced myself to now be in photos promoting this campaign I feel so passionately about. Can anyone else relate? 🤔❤️😊

I have wanted to help the LGBTQ+ community (my community) in some way, when it comes to safe travel. This is how my ‘Everyone Is Welcome’ campaign was born and Visit Somerset and Visit Exmoor are helping me to launch this. We have some amazing businesses already on board, like who actively believe that everyone should be treated equally without judgment, hatred or violence. I am absolutely delighted to have such wonderful people on board to help spread the word! I have also invited on board as I believe he is such a positive role model for the LGBTQ+ communities and I thoroughly enjoyed showing him around Somerset and Exmoor in July. One positive step at a time 😊🌈❤️

Do I look like a seasoned traveller🤔? This was taken in March 2020 just 2 weeks before we went into lockdown. So much has changed over the last 17 months, mainly my appreciation for how much the U.K. has to offer an lgbtq + traveller. Currently I am working with and on my Everyone Is Welcome campaign, so I am getting to really explore these areas and truthfully, I absolutely love them.

I absolutely loved my time in Asia back in 2013/2014. Unfortunately I don’t have many photos with me in them as I did a lot of my sightseeing solo as my husband was working, and I hadn’t mastered the art of the selfie 😱. I am hoping that at some point in the next few years, as travel restrictions eventually fade, that we will return and explore as a couple.

One of my favourite gardens to visit when I am staying with family
As lockdown measures are now lifted and we can start to plan trips, I hope to be able to spend a few hours soaking in all these gardens have to offer.

I learned last week about the passing of a lovely young lady, from cancer, and she was only 38! I was privileged and lucky to have spent a day with in Singapore back in 2014. I wanted to share these beautiful photos of Fay in her memory. Please feel free to share. Another selfless life taken too early. ❤️🌈 ❤️

How delicious does this dessert look? It tasted absolutely fantastic and was certainly the highlight of my meal I highly recommend to everyone who visits to stay for lunch! We had a great 3 hours wandering round Hestercombe and the weather was simply superb. I will definitely be back, hopefully in September!

The beautiful gardens . Definitely worth a visit around these amazing gardens and if time, lunch in the garden restaurant followed by some shopping . Only a short drive from England’s smallest city Wells. Hoping this business will be joining our Campaign.

If you are going to be visiting why not ask for a guided tour. Our guide was called Chris, and he definitely was the font of all knowledge regarding this stunning structure. I absolutely fell in love with how beautiful all the stonework was. So intricate and each piece told a story. Tag someone you would visit Wells Cathedral with and why?
