Day 4 Canada post is up, talking about fears and expectations and featuring more beautiful photos in and around Waterton Lakes National Park.

"Waterton Lakes is a town too beautiful, too idyllic, to be real. It's a movie set of quaint log cabins and flowerpots hanging from windowsills, the bright gardenias and carnations and poppies decorating even the older, shabbier motels so that they look charming and European. The main street holds a handful of restaurants, cafes, and shops, and backs onto Waterton Lake, which is bordered by mountains that reduce everything around them, ourselves included, to miniature. It's the type of town where it's difficult to imagine anything truly terrible (or even a little terrible) happening, even though it's a spot on earth in which winter would obliterate the unprepared[...]"

Our second day of riding included a campfire, intense conversation, and meeting some...interesting people.

"The man stood up, wandering over to our side of the restaurant and approaching the table against the wall to our left. He was rambling, maybe drunk, definitely a little unhinged. As he talked and laughed and gestured, I watched Mark's face. He maintained a casual, pleasant expression as conversation at our table continued, but there was an alertness there, a tension, and I sensed it in Jeff, too, though I couldn't see his face since he was on my side of the table. They would be the ones to intervene if the man took it too far, I knew, or suddenly seemed more threatening. It's taken three travel days to get here, but here we are. Today is out official starting day. Today we head east on the bikes to West Glacier. The weather looks and feels perfect. I am getting another soak in as I try to remove my city stress and embrace Gods country!!!

2 long days- road trip. Tomorrow rest of the team arrives and the good times get rolling.

Well this year contains several firsts for us. We will have 8 bikes and 7 will be two up. We have 5 ladies joining us and one on her own bike. We have 2 Harleys along for the ride. So we start in northern Idaho and travel east to Glacier National Park where we will be doing the road to the sun. Then we hook north into Canada and go to Waterton. from there we will be heading north into Banff National Park and then up to Jasper National Park before we head south and back into Idaho via Kamloops.

We are hoping to do some live feeds on Facebook here or Periscope. We will also be sending out challenges to name a location, and our spot tracker will be tracking up so you can follow along. We look for your interaction on the live feeds!

Our summer trip about to depart. This year is a special request version our our Canada loop. We will see some firsts for us. This will be the first time we have several two-up bikes. We will also for the first time have lay-over days to conduct photography side trips. We plan to cover approximately 2000 miles in the 10 days and our farthest north point will be Jasper Alberta.

Stay tuned for pics and we are going to try to do some live feeds.
