❄️ Does It Snow in Ireland? Let’s Talk About It! ☘️
Ah, the Irish weather—always a topic for a good chat, isn’t it? And one question that often pops up is: Does it actually snow in Ireland? The answer? Yes, but not as much as you’d think! While we rarely see deep snowdrifts, a dusting of snow on the hills, countryside, and even the streets can create a magical winter wonderland.
Snow is most common in January and February, and you’ll often find it in higher regions like the Wicklow Mountains or Croagh Patrick. All our vehicles and drivers are hibernating in a cave in Co. Kerry right now, they need to sleep and rest before the season begins. Don't worry they'll all thaw out in the Springtime. 😆☘
Whether you're sipping tea by the fire or taking a brisk walk in the frosty air, Ireland in winter has a charm all its own. ❄️💚

Starting January 8, 2025, the UK has introduced the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) for visitors from visa-exempt countries. This applies to several of our Northern Ireland tours, including:

The ETA is an electronic permit allowing entry into the UK, including Northern Ireland, for short stays. It’s valid for two years and costs just £10.

Decisions are typically made within 3 working days.

If you’re from a visa-exempt country, an ETA is required. Irish and British citizens are exempt, and residents of Ireland may not need one if they carry proof of lawful residence.

Founded by an entrepreneurial Irish guy named Seanie Power who had adventure and a deep love for Irish culture in his blood, the very first 1 day outdoor adventure tour around the Kingdom of Kerry was created in 2008.
In 2010 after a few years circling the island of Ireland and a few lessons learnt along the way, Sean decided it was time to introduce this innovative style of travel to the whole island of Ireland where the real adventure was waiting to begin. Irish Experience Tours was, and still remains, all about taking adventurous travellers further off the beaten track to jaw dropping beautiful & remote destinations. When you share these unique adventures with a great group of people from all over the world... well, that is when the real spirit of Irish Experience comes in to play!
