With over 19 gardens taking part and opening for you to enjoy, whilst raising money for Herriot Hospice Homecare!

Had a lovely Sunday lunch today and can highly recommend.

PARR COTTAGE || Our beautiful 2 bedroom self catering cottage - where modern comforts mix with historic beauty - aptly named in honour of Catherine Parr, the former occupier of neighbouring Snape Castle.

Absolutely thrilled and honoured to be permitted to borrow ‘The Manor of Well and Snape’ to learn more about the people who were here before us.

I just love opening second hand books to find handwritten notes inside the covers - the first in this one is dated 1912.

Humbled by a book 😊

Local Attraction|| Thorpe Perrow Arboretum

If you love a walk around idyllic gardens then this is a must when staying with us - we back onto the Arboretum and so you walk into the grounds in just a few minutes.

The garden in this stunning estate have been designed and developed over a number of years to offer beautiful colour all year round and you can pick up a map of the walks so you get the full effect 🌸

We are currently in the Bluebell phase and wow it really is something to experience

There is a Tea Rooms, Bird House and they have a full schedule of activities all year round, including a Halloween trail and of course Santa has a residency.

So have a look at their scheduled events .perrow.arboretum and then get booked into - for that perfect trip to look forward too.

If you would like to plan a romantic surprise, you can order a picnic hamper and we will prepare it all for you 🥂

Catherine Parr was deeply religious and a letter written to her by her then husband expressing concern for her safety places her at Snape Castle in 1535 during the Catholic uprising known as the Pilgrimage of Grace.

Just a 2 minute walk from us and well worth a visit.
