On this day 25 years ago - in the night from July 15-16th 1998 - our ATiC friend Sakis Loykmakias has died in a tragic motorcycle accident driving at night from Thassos Island home to his family at Thessaloniki.
He was one of the founders of the ATiC spirit that influenced our lives. We still miss him dearly … gone but not forgotten.
RIP brother.
It was μοίρα as the Greek mythology teaches us … we cannot change it and have to accept it. However it depends on what you make out of it. Seeing this many of you today in this community the event that still burns in our hearts let us come together closer as we are here today … the ATiCs.
Tonight I will have a τσίπουρο in his memory ... moaning the loss but drinking also on your health and that our friendship may last forever.
