5 days of sun, sand and relaxation!
Some of us also visited Stone Town, Prison Island, a sea turtle rescue, and enjoyed a sunset sail on a traditional Dhow for our last night together!

Tanzania Safari 2025!
We saw all of the “Big 5” and all of the “Ugly 5” and SO much more! There really are no words to describe the beauty of the landscape and wildlife here. Not to mention the kindness and cheerful welcoming from everyone we met along the way!
Hakuna Matata! and Jambo! are happy greetings we heard constantly…along with Pole, Pole, which means slowly, slowly. No need to rush - ever.

Some of us enjoyed a beautiful sunset cruise on the Indian Ocean for our last night in Zanzibar.

These traditional boats are called a Dhow, traditionally used as trading vessels or fishing and believed to have originated from around 600 BC to 600 AD and are still the preferred style of boat in Zanzibar.

Our Tanzania/Zanzibar Group 2025!
I’m truly going to miss spending every day with this group of 21 beautiful and enthusiastic travelers! We had such an amazing time on our 7 days of Safari in mainland Tanzania and another 5 days on the gorgeous island of Zanzibar!

I’m starting to make all the arrangements for a 2026 Safari Trip and would love to share it with YOU! Let me know if you’re interested-if it fills up as fast as this one did you don’t want to be left out!

We’ve been in Zanzibar for a few days now but I think most of us have left our hearts in mainland Tanzania where we did our 7 day safari.
It’s beautiful here in Zanzibar for sure but a bit jarring to be around so many people after spending so much time surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes and incredible wildlife.

We are already planning our next safari trip to Tanzania….who’s in?

Our first day of Safari did not disappoint!

The first stop of our day was a visit to the Maasai Community where we donated school supplies and women’s personal hygiene products. We learned about the services being provided at the school and had a great time hanging out with the children!
Making a personal connection to the local people and giving back in some way is always a priority on a journey.

Those of us who opted to spend a day in Amsterdam had a great day getting a feel for this city. The people are so lovely and kind, the canals, buildings and history are so interesting and our visit to Anne Frank’s home was so poignant and heart wrenching.

We leave early tomorrow morning for our continued journey to Tanzania! Stay tuned!
