Well this is pretty much how it went. And to think the whole time I assumed he was setting up just another one of his sunrise time lapses. I had no idea he was getting ready to ask me to marry him and was simply going to knock out the engagement photos at the same time. Clever, James. All the while, I was fretting about him not enjoying the moment properly and demanding he stop fumbling with his toys for just one second to please pour me a cup of freshly brewed coffee. Whoops.
He has the most beautiful timing. He knows just how to and just how much to lift my spirits when they're down. He's my sunshine when I need it, but he's not too sunny when I maybe just wanna wear a sweater and drink tea all day. He balances me entirely. He taught me to do the scary thing first, and get scared later. He keeps my life adventurous and wonderfully magical. In fact now that I think about, I might actually be marrying a sorcerer.
You're my everything James Dean. And in honor of that, I can't hardly wait to party our pants off with all of our beloveds.

As we watched the sunrise, our worries melted away as we felt the warmth of the sun and realized this is our new life on the road. The beauty, peacefulness and freedom had changed something in us that is hard to explain but it marked the beginning of our adventure down south. Two years later, in the exact same place, watching the sunrise I asked Justine to marry me. There is no one more perfect than Justine to share life's biggest adventure with.

The color of Rio Celeste appears at the point where two colorless rivers join (Buenavista and Quebrada). The change in pH at the mixing point increases the particles size of a mineral known as Aluminosilicates (Aluminum, Silicon and Oxygen). A fraction of this mineral reaches the bottom which can be seen as white sediment, whereas the majority of the minerals remain suspended along the river and scatter the sunlight much like a prism to give it it's color. The specific size of the particles cause only the bluish tones of white light to be dispersed in a phenomenon called Mie scattering.
