Yesterday I stood in awe while in the Park Hyatt Hotel reception area, gazing out through the grand windows at a picture perfect view of paradise. The beautiful ocean, the lush greenery and vibrant colors of nature painted a scene that felt like stepping into a dream.

The most amazing thing happened right before I took this photo. It was such a beautiful thing to see. I know anyone coming across this post would have loved to see it too, but unfortunately this is all I have to share with you. I should have shot a little sooner. There is no evidence of what I saw. You will just have to take my word for it.

I'm sure some of us can look back at a situation like this and laugh.

I recently had a traveler contact me for assistance because they spelled their name wrong when booking their flight. Now, this is not a client of mine. They were simply looking for help and found my agency's name and contacted me.

I know it's possible for a travel agent to get the client's name wrong. I've seen this working as a ticket agent at the airport, but having a traveler spell their own name wrong. Though I can see the potential of this happening, it still just never occurred to me.

We can sometimes take things for granted and because we know our own names, sometimes we can move a little too self-assured and make mistakes where they need not happen. It's good to always pause and check the information you input, despite knowing you know it like it's your own, because it is.

But if you do find yourself facing this dreadful situation, no matter what, be sure to remain calm and consider all your options available to your circumstances.

In times like this, it's good, if one of those options is to contact your travel agent.

There are always so many opportunities to gather and enjoy time together and the Nevis Mango Food Fair is a great one. It's summer, it's sunny, there's food, there's the outdoors. You wouldn't want anything better.
