We are very happy that the IOC has today refused FIG’s application to bring parkour into the 2024 Olympics under a gymnastics banner.

IF and when parkour is considered for the Olympics again it MUST be under the auspices of the authentic parkour community worldwide who have developed, taught and spread this amazing discipline so well over the last 2 decades.

26 COUNTRIES!

We counted. ADAPT Coaching Certifications have now been delivered in 26 countries around the world over the past 8 years, covering 5 continents so far with hundreds of courses and thousands of parkour practitioners involved. This year we will pass the 30 mark, with many more courses set to occur in 2017 still.

This is something we are hugely proud of, and we are constantly amazed by the incredibly passionate and dedicated network of professional parkour coaches across the world and the awesome body of tutors and delivery centres that make every course so powerful and productive.

At the Parkour & Movement Camp in Morzine we utilise the whole environment for the intensive training challenges. And we mean the whole environment... True movement capability is that which can adapt to any terrain, in practical terms. Most gyms and methods will adapt their spaces to fit their movement: we do the opposite - which is what nature intended all along.
The you that leaves the Morzine Camp is not the same you that arrives.

2016 has been an incredible year for the parkour coaching community, with positive growth and developments all over the world. 2017 is set to see even more growth as the certifications reach new communities and new Delivery Centres are set to open up to make the education even more accessible.

Rendezvous is back! Come join this international parkour gathering event which brings together coaches and participants from across the globe for a weekend of shared experiences and inspirational training.

This year, we are very excited to announce RDV XI, BAREFOOT EDITION! With an emphasis on getting back to nature with the aim being to experiment with barefoot movement or minimalist footwear, our amazing coaching team will help you get back to the roots of movement and develop your parkour training further than ever before.

However, we know that going barefoot can be demanding for many people new to the concept, so you’ll be more than welcome to wear your normal shoes as often as you like! The workshops and modules will be structured so as to allow everything from full barefoot to more regular ‘shod’ movement practice. So this is the perfect place to experiment with barefoot movement under expert supervision, but you're welcome to throw your shoes back on at any point if you prefer. Everyone will be challenged, no matter the level of ability, barefoot or not.. ;)

We’re committed to making Rendezvous bigger and better every year, with 22+ hours of training squeezed in to one action packed weekend, modules with special guests, and coaching from some of the most experienced coaches from all over the globe.

This week sees us running the first ever ADAPT Parkour Coaching Certification course in China – and it’s a big one!

With 48 candidates on the Level 1 course in Beijing, it’s one of the largest courses in history – only topped by two courses in Italy which had over 60 candidates each.

The course is hosted by HS Performance in Beijing, a fantastic fitness and strength & conditioning facility. Three Tutors are running the course: Chris ‘Blane’ Rowat and Andy Pearson from the UK and Federico ‘Gato’ Mazzoleni of Italy.

The course has got off to a great start, with real enthusiasm and focus from all the candidates. It’s fantastic to see such desire to coach parkour right among so many people out in China, and this is only the start of some huge developments to come for ADAPT and parkour in that part of the world. Keep your eyes peeled for more details soon…
