Good morning, Freewheel people! Jason here, confessing that my performance thus far in assembling a team for BikeMS has been disappointing, to say the least. I'm hoping to mount a comeback, just in time for the third week in September, and wanted to reach out to see if you have joined a team for BikeMS Oklahoma? If not, you could join my team-- MS Perdition--and we could ride together. If you're already part of a team, thank you for taking your turn at the front, and helping eradicate multiple sclerosis. If you're as yet unaffiliated, please join my team. Or drop a dime or two toward my own ride. September 21-22 is going to be fun weekend--lots of food and libations, and it would be great if you joined us.

Good Afternoon!!

First we want to thank the wonderful Oklahoma FreeWheel Friends and Family that joined us for 2024 Oklahoma FreeWheel! Many of them have already participated in the post 2024 event survey. We gathered lots of great information from it. You are the best!!

Next, we want to hear from everyone else. Please click on the following survey link, Oklahoma FreeWheel Survey (https://forms.gle/jAMyjMat7u12C9rW7). Those that did attend 2024, feel free to complete this survey as well as it has quite a few new questions. The information gathered will help us plan Oklahoma FreeWheel 2025. This particular survey will close Friday midnight August 2nd.

When answering questions and it seems to hang up or give you an issue, the survey should provide guidance at the bottom of the question. example, "An answer in each column is required" or "No more than one answer per column."

Courtesy reminder after 11 the new high school gym (bldg 1 onsite map) will be locked down. If bathrooms are needed during the night, you will need to go to the older gym, bldg 3 on the site map.

Saturday, June 1st

An interactive and educational youth workshop presented by GRDA Environmental Programs and Education will be held at the Pawnee Bathhouse from 10:30 to 12:30. The course for elementary age students will focus on water resources. Please register for the class before noon on Friday, May 31st by emailing [email protected]. Parents must attend with their child.

The Pawnee Bill Memorial Rodeo annual fish fry will start at 6:30 at the Pawnee Rodeo Lakeside Event Center.

Sunday, June 2nd

Sunday morning the Oklahoma FreeWheel tour will arrive in downtown Pawnee for an overnight stay on the courthouse lawn! Come mingle downtown and help welcome the cyclist to Pawnee!

Ranch Burger has teamed up with several Pawnee Public School athletic teams and they will be serving concessions and bake sale goods throughout the day on the courthouse lawn. Please come enjoy a tasty Ranch burger and a few sweet treats from the bake sale! All proceeds go towards the athletic teams participating in fundraising!

The Buffalo Theatre will be showing two FREE matinee's on Sunday!
1:00 The Little Mermaid
3:30 The Great Outdoors
Their concession stand will be open!

It will be dollar admission day at the Pawnee Bathhouse! Go play at Pawnee Recreational Area!

The Pawnee Public Library will be open on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00! Go see Amy and sign up the kiddos for the summer reading program!
The Pawnee County Historical Society Museum will be open!
Of course, be sure to go spend time at Pawnee Bill Ranch and Museum!

Clementine's Oasis will be open as a rest stop or enjoy your fundraising concessions in the comfort of their inviting dining space! Either way... you need to check out this new venue!

Sunday evening will end with a street dance downtown featuring The Lone Chimney Band! The band starts around 7:00 p.m.

Great news! Superior linen is sponsoring by providing a bin of towels. This should equate to 1 towel per day per person. Some like lots of towels. If you need more than one, please bring an extra.

We want to reiterate regarding Indoor Camping, all locations are limited occupancy, first come first serve. Be mindful of others and only take up enough space for your sleeping bag. If you are not one of the lucky ones, you will need to sleep in your tent.

This will take you to another site that has proven to be more reliable. Thank you for your patience while we worked out a solution. Again the Deadline to purchase the breakfast pass is May 17th. Don’t delay!

Just in case you have missed it, there will be parking in Pawhuska for you to leave your car for the whole ride. Below is the link to the Oklahoma FreeWheel website and specifically the Pawhuska page. Once there note the site maps and a legend that will direct you to the designated parking.

Just a heads up, the new nonprofit bought the Oklahoma FreeWheel trailer with the charging bays from the previous organization. This should help ease your mind a bit about charging. BUT we still recommend you bring battery backups/banks just to be on the safe side.
