The children living in the village need storybooks too.
Why?
Books encourage children to read.
Books help children fall in love with reading stories and fairy tales.
Books expose children to new ideas and to read books they might not read.
Books can promote deep thinking and understanding of events and situations.
Books can help children express their opinions.
Books can change the way children see themselves and the world outside of the village community.
Global People Foundation knows how important reading storybooks is to children.
The founder is an author.
We know that it takes a village to prepare children for the future.
Pictures and storybooks can help a child's development and imagination.
The children living in the village community do not have libraries or bookstores.
There are no internet cafes, or coffee shops to read their favorite books.
If we can purchase books for children living in the village, we know it will give them a chance to think outside of the village community.
