I’m on a mission to encourage as many parents as possible to try out using cloth nappies; one a week, one a day, part time cloth, whatever you feel you can do makes a difference. 8 MILLION nappies are sent to landfill every. single. day in the UK alone - those bulging big black bin bags and overflowing grey bins? Because yes, I can and do talk about alternatives to coffee cups and toothbrushes and water bottles but, it’s nappies I really want to get people focusing on and talking about. It’s estimated a child goes through 5,500 nappies in its lifetime from birth to potty training. Is there anything you can do to change that number? What’s stopping you? Have you given it a go? This is a really good one to start with and we’ve put it as the first suggestion in our 12 Days book because food banks like to get their collections in as early as possible.
Find out where yours is, give them a call and find out what essentials they need the most. Then fill a box and take it along to donate with the kids!

Such a great learning experience and talking point about how fortunate we are to have plenty of food and comfort at Christmas time.
