These trees are magnificent to stand next to and realize just how small we are. Controlled burns throughout the park was unique to see.
Also working on my national park bucket list lol. Have to see what I am up to now.

Can't wait to go back! El Capitan, Bridal Veil Falls, and some behind the scenes on some of the hiking trails.

This is our daily life. You plan in advance several months due to airlines and everything that could happen while you are there does.

Even if someone awesome plans everything for you..... you still have to do some of these things yourself. But rest assured I plan adventures on less busy times and it is normal to plan for something unexpected. It tells the best story
Sunday Night and I reflect that I took a week to focus on wellness. Thank you Emily Aarons for an amazing week. Pushing me out of my comfort zone with social media lol (instagram) but some amazing healings. I don't have a favorite because they all resonated in their own way.
Don't be afraid to take time for you. It will make you better at everything in life when your cup is full.

We met up last night and I had to get a picture with my book and the local gem in Norfolk named after this pirate queen.
We meet up virtually via teams and in person once a month. We are a travel/bucket list themed book club and I will challenge you to read things outside your normal.

Celebrate something you did out of your comfort zone!
Mine was hiking Kilimanjaro. The mentally toughest hike I did.
One of my favorite hikes ever. The North Antrim Cliff Path in Northern Ireland. Start at Dunservick Castle (abandoned pieces) end at Giants Causeway. A bus does shuttle you back to the castle :)
5 miles but steps and incline but otherwise the most beautiful meandering trail literally along the cliff.
What is it like hiking with a group of strangers? Well if you are going on any hike chances are you won't know everyone.
Joining me on a hike you get to meet everyone before we go on an adventure. Makes it a little easier connecting with your fellow travelers in a social setting and not at the airport or on the mountain.
But let me tell you about these hikers. There is so much spirt and heart in each and everyone one of them. On Kilimanjaro we all were put to the test but everyone came out strong. To watch each and everyone of these amazing people go up this mountain and still manage to enjoy 90% of the these moments (10% of the time I know people wonder why lol they end up on these adventures hahahah)
What you get at the end of any adventure is memories that last a lifetime and friendships through the power of connection.
Let me tell you about the people behind the scenes of our adventure.
The question I always get is how do I find these people. Straight up it is my intuition. I am always drawn to the people I need to find. My biggest value is I have to work with small businesses. I have to give back as a small business myself. I spend up to a year connecting with a business through phone, text, what's app social media and more. It is not just a business I learn about their family, their life, their why.
Leken Adventure is a certified Tala operator in Tanzania. The fact that their employees are like family is so crucial.
William, Leonard, Mhalu Nizzaul (Amani) and Florence were the amazing human beings who became our rocks, our emotional support, the beacons of light in the darkness. These guys did more for all the hikers than we ever expected. Amani was a great lead guide and worked seamlessly with everyone on the team.
Knowing you have a great support system who goes above and beyond is what makes the difference in who you choose.
We had a group of 28 for our support. These porters choose to be there and carry 40 plus lbs up a mountain for a job. Delivering morning coffee, waking us up, boiling us drinking water, making us laugh and talking to us, telling us about their lives. These people are human beings that are no different than us but so wonderful to get to know.
The best part of traveling the world is the people you meet, the connections you create, and the experience of being local.
Thank you to them for ensuring all the people who went were safe and sound.

Day 2 and 3 of Kilimanjaro. Getting to Shira Gate. This adventure went through the beautiful mountain rocks and the sky was so blue. Every where you went clouds and nature followed into the next day on the way to the Lava Tower for lunch.
The weather was warm to me although others were bundled in jackets and the scenery was breath taking.

I am hiking Kilimanjaro in Feb with Wanderlust Explorations and our purpose is raising funds for pediatric cancer. Roc Solid Foundation is an amazing organization that does so much for the families like ready bags and building play sets. Today I got to give back and work with Ryan Homes to build this beautiful play set.

Today a group of us went horseback riding on Peruvian horses to do some hikes to ruins. Beautiful day and a great adventure.
Beautiful architecture and fountain in Cusco. 15 amazing people with me as we explore the city, get acclimated to altitude and get ready for a 4 day hike on the classic Inca trail. Follow my Instagram for stories pf our adventures.
Traveling to North Ireland was one of the highlights of this trip and maybe my favorite. Go for a walk it is only 5 miles. It did turn out to be more of a hike with some up and down incline steps.
However this is the view we had the whole way. Walking along the cliff path and ending at Giants Causeway.
Savor the moments in life and do things outside your comfort zone. You may find the best discoveries in life come from trying something new.

I truly love waking up to see the sunrise all over the world. On days that it isn't sunny I can still see a beautiful glowing sunrise.
As we are moving on to 2022 it is really time to start setting your foundation for what you want your life to be.

Day 5: Arches National Park
Did you know that there are over 2000 Arches in this park?
I call this land Fire and Ice. Against the fiery red rocks you can see the snowcapped white La Sal Mountains.
Arches created that stand the test of time and weather. Great place for hikes and beautiful scenery.
Landscape Arch, Pine tree arch, and balance rock are a few of the many stops we hit here.

Day 4 Canyonlands
The highlight of the day was hiking to Mesa Arch for sunrise. Definitely a popular place for photographers as we all fought to get the good spots.
I have no words for the sunrise. This is in the top few of my favorite ones.
The landscape in Canyonlands was also very different at every turn. Wide Variety.
We did not get to go into the Needles we mainly stayed in the Island in the Skye due to timing.
