Have fun exploring New York on a walking tour with Kornblit Tours! We were in Florence, Italy for our 25th wedding anniversary. Steve was dissing New York!

How it All Began

Ironically, it was our international travels that brought us back to New York with a new perspective. One evening we were having dinner at a local restaurant. We started talking to some other people who asked where we were from. When we told them we were from N.Y., they expressed their dream to visit New York someday. Steve asked “why do you want to come to N.Y. when you live in

the most beautiful country in the world?” Susan couldn’t believe what she was hearing! We lived in the greatest city in the world = people from all over want to visit! On our return home, we bought tour guide books of New York and started treating the city as a tourist. We’ve discovered that everything we could ever want in a travel destination is right here! About NYC

New York City; one of the most culture and history rich places in North America, is a destination for many tourists. There are not many cities like New York. With it’s tall, beautiful buildings and scenic views of the Hudson river, this city is home to so much more than just concrete and metal. NYC is home to hundreds of different cultures and so many different types of people. A melting pot in it of itself, “The City” as the locals call it, is a place that everyone can find something they will enjoy. Art Museums, thousands of restaurants, beautiful parks, and shows galore! Words cannot do this city justice, you just need to experience it!

So what romantic plan do you have for your love this Valentine’s Day?

I am a big romantic and it just so happens that I have an idea for you!

How about strolling through Greenwich Village listening to some of the greatest love poetry, from some of the greatest poets, that ever lived in New York City?

You can even write your own love poem to your love
and read it along side of Walt Whitman, e.e. cummings, Mark Twain and Bob Dylan to name a few.

Then you can take your love to a very romantic meal in Greenwich Village.

The video is of my friend Nu AJe on last year’s Valentine’s Day tour… He did a great job and all of the love poems created by our guests brought out the tears!

Kornblit Tours and Temple Israel of Ridgewood are joining up to present a virtual tour of some of the oldest congregations in Manhattan. It will take place on Thursday May 20, 2021 at 7:30 PM.

There is no cost for this virtual tour.

And you will receive tools that will help you create your own self guided tour when you are ready to go into the city and do the tour for real.

And like every Kornblit Tour...we will highlight some great restaurants and food establishments that will really put the icing on the cake!

Join us for some fascinating stories about the first Jews to land in Manhattan and how some of their congregations moved from the Lower East Side...to Harlem....and beyond. And don't forget the food tips! The zoom link is below!
