Most of our River Trips are a three-day format, covering 325 to 500 miles. All river trips feature first-class accommodations and meals, full-service land crew and experienced river guides. Specializing in "Exploring America's Original Highways" for over 25 years!

14 Years Ago - St. Johns River Trip 2008 with Discovery River Tours! Last trip of the season in Florida, of course! Lots of gator sightings, Rivership Romance Dinner Cruise, lilies & palm trees and a spectacular side trip on the Ocklawaha River. Woo-Hoo!!

8 Years Ago - Savannah River Trip September 2014!
Sam and Vicki will lead the DRT group back to our home base after a lovely day-trip in the Savannah area. It's such a cool ride on multiple waterways, winding through the marsh grass water trails and eventually back up the rivers into hardwoods and then returning back to the lowland. Nice!

We are so happy about this rescue! We have been bringing our Discovery River Tours groups into this area since the late 90's and have been taking people on a back channel of the Waccamaw River to see the old locomotive for the past 20 years. We have quite a few photos of it from early 2000's (when it was more complete than it is now) and moving forward in time. When we last saw it about 4 years ago, the water was really high and it was leaning badly. We were so afraid it would be lost forever. Can't wait to see her again in her restored state in downtown Conway, SC!

Remember this? 12 years ago - St. Marys River Trip 2010...!!
Sam is leading the DRT group out of town on Day 3 at the same time the old Cumberland Lady is taking her group over to Cumberland Island. Beautiful morning on the water!
