Catedral de San Carlos de Bariloche.
A little outside of the main streets, this impressive building is worth a visit and a few moments to sit inside/outside and reflect on your time in Bariloche.
Black-faced Ibis birds wander around the parks of Bariloche. A little more exotic than your average Trafalgar Square pigeon.
You've got to refuel after a decent day hiking.
El Mexicano caters for - in their words - birthdays, divorces, bachelorette parties and stag dos.
@ Bariloche
The lake at Refugio Frey is a prize worth winning.
Yeah, the mountains are incredible but the best part is going for a swim in th cold water after a sweltering day's hike!
Views for days on the way to Refugio Frey
The coolest little rest stop I saw on my hikes this year. A wood cabin built into the side of a huge boulder.
@ Refugio Frey
Bariloche offers more than chocolate and stunning views. Native wildlife is full of character if you manage to spot it in time.
This dude was sun bathing though and didn't even notice me papping him.
I'm not fantastic with heights.
By no means is the Refugio Frey difficult. But there are a couple of hairy moments on questionable bridges!
So about those hikes we mentioned last week...
If you're short on time you can head up to Refugio Frey for a day hike.
There is an option to camp or stay in the Refugio itself for a night, however you better call ahead if that's your plan.
So there's some stunning hikes in Bariloche. This isn't one of them... we'll get to those.
However, given the layout of the town itself, it provides plenty of practice for those who are looking to take a stroll up in the hills.

Feline blue...?
I'm not the only one who misses their pets when they travel. Korean cat cafes give you a chance to wind down with some therapeutic chill out time alongside furry pals.
Rolling Stones last night for the old man's birthday. He doesn't ever travel abroad with me, it's not his cup of tea. But he loves visiting the country's stadiums for music and football.
Cheeky appearance from Florence and the Machine too.
We've now spent more time on the London Stadium pitch than Andy Carroll.
It's Friday. Therefore. Llama
Just popped out for a walk.
Then, Jurassic Park. 🐊
Krabi, Thailand. 🦀
The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands are an example of real extravagance.
There's a stream running straight through where shoppers can take gondola rides... ⛵⚓🤑
It's madness 💁
Austria has some beautiful countryside. Especially in Burgenland, south of Vienna.
In summer it's really pleasant and you can take a dip in a lake to cool off after a long hike or cycle 🏊🏃
Backpacking gave me courage I had never seen in myself before 💪
However, it also made me pose like an ejit a lot more too ✌😎
Name that film 😂💃📽🎬
Brooklyn Bridge, New York.
I only spent 4 days in New York at the end of a 10 month stint away from home. Over that short period of time I must have walked the city 4 times over.
As I was scraping pennies back then, I managed to do all the free fun stuff and see some wonderful sights.
But I'll be back for you NY. I want to see your ritzy, grungry, sexy, rock and roll side.
La Puerta Roja in Buenos Aires, Argentina. If you're into rock music and also a sports fan, there's no better choice in BA!
I had the pleasure of catching a match there while knocking back a few craft beers.
The interior decor is cool AF too.
Take time to stop and enjoy the little things.
My travel obsession really kicked off when I was lucky enough to take a trip to South East Asia with my best pal.
If I'm honest I may not have taken the step to travel solo if I hadn't had first jumped into the unknown with a friend. Ever since then I've had a greater for discovery. So if you're thinking of taking the leap, take it with a friend, a group or solo. Just make sure you do it.
Here we are pratting about on Kuang Si Falls in Luang Prabang, Loas. Doing our best impression.
It's so have a llama on me!
Soft to touch and with fantastic personality, backpackers tend to have an obsession with taking photos of or with these guys. I might even have a or two with them 😂🤓📸
This fella can be found in San Pedro de Atacama, in the north of Chile.

A cheeky little stop off on the way to . Easily one of the most impressive religious buildings I've come across on my travels.
