Thimphu Tshechu, held at the impressive Tashichhodzong, is one of Bhutan’s most significant religious and social events. Spanning three days from September 13th to 15th 2024, this festival involves months of preparation by monks.
On the eve of the festival, they perform prayers and rituals to invoke the deity. Attendees can enjoy a captivating display of traditional mask dances and observe locals dressed in their traditional Gho and Kira. It’s a remarkable opportunity to experience the essence of Bhutanese culture and traditions.
