6 Weeks from today!!!! April 14 & 15 in McDuffie Square in Downtown Laurinburg!!!! The first annual Suds & Swine in Laurinburg BBQ Competition and Festival. The Pro Division is full and includes cooking teams that won over 60% of the competitions in the state last year and three former state champions. We also have a Backyard/Local Division that will have 12 teams. Five of the 12 spots are filled, so room for 7 more teams!!! The festival will benefit the Laurinburg Rotary and thier many charities. The Scotland County Tourism Development Authority is excited to announce that Cycle NC will be making an overnight stop in Laurinburg next October as part of their Mountains to the Coast Bike Tour. 1,000 riders will call Laurinburg home for the night. Thank you to the Mayor, Chamber of Commerce, and Scotland County Parks and Recreation for being part of the Welcome Video we shot this morning. Very exciting - more info to follow.

Farmer's Market today (actually shoukd be called 'Open Air Market" as lot more than just produce.

Good steady crowd. Off in July, but back with a market on Aug 28 - Big day planned for Laurinburg.
