Did you know: Natural Indigo dye is aged and cultivated like sour dough starter. Some are 30 or more years old. They are “fed” crushed leaves from the indigo plant to keep the pots alive. Contamination of the dye from bacteria or other natural pigments can kill the cultivated indigo bacteria that gives the dye its intense color. Join us for a hands on natural dying workshop to learn about this traditional thai art.

Did you know Spirit houses are a tradition practice across SE Asia? If spirits are not cared for, they can cause problem for those living on the same land. Spirit houses range in size from small replicas of the larger human home, to large shrines of equal size as human homes. They are also needed for all Comercial building, malls, restaurants, and hotels. When traveling here it is worth taking the time to find the shrines of each place you stay and seeing the different styles. You can even make an offering!
