It's almost February! Time for the snowdrops and the vikings to make an appearance in Yorkshire. The York Ice Trail is coming up next weekend, 1st and 2nd February.

Discover the ice sculptures as you wander through the city streets and to find all the sculptures. Sculptures will be in place from 10:30 to 16:00 on each day, with over 30 sculptures to find and live sculpting in Samson Square.

Discover the ice sculptures around the historic city of York in the annual York Ice Trail. The 2025 theme is Origins, with sculptures inspired by legends, myths, and York's rich history.

Did you know has a Cold War Bunker you can visit?
York Cold War Bunker was in active service from the 1960s–1990s the bunker was designed as a nerve-centre to monitor fallout in the event of a nuclear attack.

The Red Squirrels know the best places to live!
New red squirrel colony has been discovered in North Yorkshire.

The squirrels have moved in at a sitka spruce plantation in a western area of the Yorkshire Dales.
