Sometimes, because I do these sorts of things all the time, I forget how unique my work is to someone else. I got some great feedback on the handmade pic guard and wanted to share a before and after comparison shot.

A guy calls me and says " I was given your number by another music shop and they said you can rebuild guitars that are in pretty bad shape."

I said sure. What he gave me was a warped neck and a body that was stripped to the wood with its fair share of deep scratches and missing chunks. I asked him Why he'd want to spend so much money on a no-name guitar and told him that I could build him a real nice one for the same price.

He said it was sentimental to him and that it was his band's guitar and they all said they were going to pitch in and build It one day. But after the band broke up, he had been caring it for 15 years. He finally decided to fix it. So after lots of bodywork and fret repair, a quick inlay on the headstock, some new electronics ,and a homemade pick guard, here's what we have.

I have never been a person to buy a new guitar . My expertise is finding them in used condition or needing severe maintenance and I fix them up and resell them. Needless to say , several months ago I broke down for the first time and I actually bought a new guitar.
The six string battleaxe drum box I purchase for my first was a 914ce Taylor guitar .
I am a very picky player, but straight out of the box this instrument was right on the money. a little tweak that I had to do on it was lower the saddle and refile the nut , but otherwise I could not have asked for a better playing guitar . The quality, the sound, the tone, and just all around the way it feels in your hands .
Taylor has got to have one of the best instruments I've ever played from feel ,quality and tone ! ...P.S . I am NOT endorsed by Taylor and they don't pay me to say this. I am just in complete awe with this instrument. It truly is the best I've ever played in my 22 years of building guitars and hunting for the perfect one. I believe I have a pretty broad spectrum of what I'm looking for, A guitar that sounds amazing unplugged and twice as good plugged in, I felt that it deserves a spot to be recognized
