Team 4MULA SPORTS Team 4mula is a newly founded 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization aimed at providing and furthering athletic opportunities to youths through the AAU.

Mission Statement

Team 4mula is a newly founded 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization aimed at providing and furthering athletic opportunities to youths through the AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) and other Team 4mula organized activities. Team 4mula was established to provide athletic opportunities and training to promote the health and wellness of youths in the area. This also will provide youths wi

th a positive activity and deter them from being engaged with the negative draws of the community that plague our youth. It also teaches children teamwork and gives them a sense of being involved or affiliated with something in a positive way. Team formula is specifically aimed at providing this opportunity to under-privileged youths who would otherwise be unable to afford this. Therefore, we operate strictly on fundraising and donations and parents will sometimes be asked to assist in these activities. Introduction

Team 4mula is a newly formed organization so you or your child will have the opportunity to be a charter member and help represent and grow the organization. We also aim to teach the kids how to use athletics to open the doors to higher education. OUR MOTTO: Although they may not have a career as a professional athlete, they can use athletics, through scholarships, to provide a professional career in 100’s of other areas. At Team 4mula, we foster a family atmosphere. We encourage parents to be involved in team organizing and activities. We want parents to look at Team 4mula as their team also. Why Team 4mula

Team 4mula is a team established by athletes with specialization in speed and agility training, and also experience in competing and coaching at high levels. This allows us to train our athletes from the point of view of a coach, and also an athlete who has competed before. This helps us understand what the athletes is going through and how to properly train and prepare them. We also encourage athletes as they graduate our program to return and aid in coaching and mentoring the younger athletes about the experiences of growing as a student-athlete. At Team 4mula we encourage the student before the athlete, because without proper academic performance, an athlete will be ineligible for athletic performance. Therefore, Team 4mula plans to offer tutoring sessions for the athletes as resources become available. Team Expectations

Parent: At Team 4mula we teach leading by example, so we expect all parent/ guardians to be on their best behavior. No profanity or negative language should be used toward athletes, coaches, or other parents. There will be no fighting, arguing, or confrontations at all. Parents/ Guardians are also not to engage in any illegal activities during Team 4mula practices or events. Anyone violating these rules may be banned from practices and risk their child being removed from the team. Children learn their behavior from adults, so let’s all try to set a good example for the student athletes. Athletes: At Team 4mula we believe hard work= improvement and we are aimed at improving you, so working hard is the basis of our training. Although we intend to work you hard, we concentrate on not overtraining or pushing you too hard. “Only you know how hard you are working”. We also concentrate on knowing the athletes personally and knowing your strengths and weaknesses as an athlete. This allows us to personally tailor your workouts to get the best from your training. Team 4mula athletes are expected to act in a respectful way at all practices and events, and speak respectfully to all coaches and parents. Fighting or any form of verbal abuse to coaches, parents, or other athletes will not be tolerated. Discipline for these acts can include extra conditioning (running, push-ups, etc.), suspensions, or even removal from team. Team 4mula operates on an Open Door Policy. This means all parents question, suggestions, & concerns are welcome at any time before or after practice. We ask that parents/ guardians not address these issues during practice as coaches are dedicated to training at that time. Team 4mula membership is completely at-will, and there is no obligation by any athlete or coach to perform any act or provide any service. Because Team 4mula does not charge membership fees, parents and athletes may at times be asked to assist in “team help” activities such as: transportation and fund raising to support team activities.
