Danny is a good man!

Getting to know your DCSO

Deputy Danny Graham has been with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office for 20 years! He has held various positions, including court security, corrections and patrol deputy, training officer, and detective.

The thing he enjoys the most about his job is getting to talk to people and being there for them in the good times, and the bad. For the future he hopes promote into a leadership position, but for now he is concentrated on new experiences. He believes being a deputy contributes to the agency's success by cultivating positive interactions, which enhances community trust and overall public perception.

He originally got into law enforcement as a police explorer when he was 17 years old, which was when he decided this was the career we wanted to pursue. “You can’t live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you”. –DG (John Wooden)

Today our Office received reports of citizens receiving calls from people pretending to be law enforcement officials requesting money to clear up warrants. This is an ongoing scam. Law enforcement will not contact you requesting money to clear up arrest warrants.

Hey we live in Oregon to enjoy the outdoors, but while the smoke is hanging around it’s best to stay indoors. Watch a good movie or something.

If you're looking for the official term for the current smoke situation in Bend, it's "Hazardous" and it likely won't get much better for a while. Outdoor activity should be avoided.

The U.S. Forest Service-Deschutes National Forest has announced that many day use sites and boat ramps will open by the weekend. Please remember to pack it in and pack it out if you decide to recreate. Also, a friendly reminder that the stay-home order is still in effect and now is not the time for out-of-towners to visit Bend. Stay home, stay safe!

The word came down last night from Governor Brown’s office that Deschutes County is approved for phase-one reopening starting May 15.
