He smiled, tipped his hat, and replied 'never ask a barber if you need a haircut'.
“What?”
“Come
with me,” he said. Baffled we followed him round the corner where he led us to the diner he owned.
“There you go.” He said and seated us at the best table. This was cowboy logic and on that premise Serial/Trash was born. We wanted to give our clients the same sense of fun yet relevance the loitering cowboy had shown us. Serial/Trash is a creative agency, responsible for great design, wonderful websites and brand enhancing videos. We work with our clients to achieve their goals in a straightforward way, using common sense to make the complicated simple, the boring interesting – and mundane fun. We've been working with clients for over five years now and we're proud of what we've produced together. Don't squat with Spurs on!

It was my duty as a visual artist to create a visual brand (or movement?) that celebrates all those working at home with; bad lockdown haircuts, no makeup and talking to their bosses in just their pants. Long live working in your pants.

For some strange reason, I'm finding comfort in getting these emails. Maybe its because I can see everyone from Uber to Starbucks having as public a freakout as I am. If you read between the lines all these Brands are saying, "we don't know the hell to do either".

My daughter has wild hair and it is a nightmare cutting her out of the background. So I decided to try something else. I actually followed a tutorial on a fried chicken rocket to archive the explosion look. So big thank you to Nathaniel.
This is the core image..Trump really is a hellhound from hell. He explodes with hate. In this illustration a bouquet of flowers composed of skulls explodes from his face – a lot like his tweets.

The Walthamstow City of Culture 2019 has just launched the official logo. It was designed by a fellow Walthamstow resident Richard Vickers.
I always find public launches of logos odd. Graphic Design work is mostly done in the background and rarely gets mentioned in the press. The few times it does its get a mention is usually because of either public freakout (Gap rebrand) or public disgust (London Olympics 2012).
While this logo plays it safe, I like it. It can be, it can replicate in any size and still be recognisable and has an old school charm about it.
