There are so many people and business entities that go unchecked in the freelance world.

I have worked in environments where there were no formal contracts to outline expectations- that was a mistake.

I have worked in environments where there was no formal Human Resources department to highlight the codes of conduct- that was a mistake.

I have worked in environments where the compensation for my work was not formally stated or even discussed or offered- that was a mistake

From these mistakes and from my most recent nightmarish failed experience- I have been able to draft my first consulting contact!

I am grateful for the seeds of painful lessons that yield the fruit of progress and change.

STILL pinching myself....that we were able to produce on this platform.

So many women came together to tell their stories of transformation to the world. This was truly a dream come true for me.

And speaking of dreams coming true, I recently purchased one of our speakers products and it works! Curls are poppin!

For those of you who are client facing in your careers or who own their own business or service, where do you draw the line between comprising the quality of your work and giving a client what they've asked for? If their food is taking too long do you bring it to them raw? If there garment isn't finished ahead of schedule do you let them take it home in pieces? Yes the customer is ALWAYS right..... but what if they are wrong? How do you solve the challenge of providing stellar customer services when your client would like to to commit to substandard quality product? If you refuse is that bad business? If you agree what becomes of your reputation and representation of your product when other potential clients see it?

Don't lower your standards for others to devalue your service!

There is a lot that event planners don't know about technology even the standard technology of conferences that has been used in the last two decades eludes some of the most savvy and experienced organizers.
