Good Morning Quebec
Bonjour mes amis.
On this the 18th of September, in the year 2024.
Its a very pleasant 13c, peaking at 28c this afternoon at about 3pm.
Sun sets at 6:50pm
We have had plenty of warm weather this year.
Thanks to the person in charge.

This summer here in Quebec labouring amongst the plants, I have produced some gems.
With the theme of death, or the cycle of life and death, and how beauty is ageless in the plant world.
I want to remember the sun flowers, the corn on the cob, or Totomoxle, the grand Maples and their leaves.
The For Sale sign is up.
Just how to figure out how to package and post to clients.

La Foresta Pluviale
Here, in Quebec, the foundation is permanent cultural, Zen. And today, on this the 20th August, and with it a cool 14c, and wet. The rain adds texture and glisten.
The pine ways add contrast as they are overgrown by very happy ground cover.
Its the month of gold. And the first ted of Fall is appearing in the Sumachs.

This is better than ....
Looking for something to watch on Netflix. You have to imagine OR search this site for what I have seen, watched, and witnessed and photographed, floating high in the sky between these giants of the natural world.
Sugar candy rainbows, Marshmallows and sugar puffs, dreams, smiles, and more. It is celestial but in what feels like reach.
That you could, if only, touch this other world, where the leaves blow silver. They blow green.
And in Fall, they just seems to be taking the p**s down upon us mortals in our boxes.
Alas

He cooks what he wants to eat. Lovely.

Here I am spending the summer at my home in Quebec with Marie.
It has been. an interesting learning curve the language, the culture, etiquettes.
What I learnt as a kid in Trois Rivieres all those years ago at the start of the 80s is still with me.
But my mother and father aren't.
He taught me integrity and to be able to laugh.
I miss them. I miss having a family near me.
The other day Marie and I visited her sister at her chalet on the lake.
Marie jokes telling me this is her place. And sure. its a little paradise away from the clatter of the world.
I can see the love between two sisters at the end of the day when we are leaving. And that's it.
We are here to love.
To share.
I presented and shared the images of this little paradise on my Quebec page. Talked a little bit about an aspect of life in Quebec.
Chalet life.

Naughty but Nice.

If you are around 54 like me, and grew up in the UK, you may remember the TV show The Good Life.
A true masterpiece based around converting your suburban garden into a minute farm.
A wonderful cast kept us focused on what needs to be if we are to save the human race from extinction.
Fastforward, and it would appear that extinction has been averted , and signs can be found on Rue du Quebec in the Estrie region of southern Quebec.

What you don't see is the Mint, and Courgettes, but based on last summer, the Courgettes have lost their priority. Pity, as it has been a hot summer and early arriving.
Today is a wee bit wet, for a change, and right now its about 20c.
Nettles returned like the Dandelions, with revenged, been chopped back and added to a fertilizing soup for the green house tomatoes. Stinky but good.

For those who never quite know where I am, I am in Quebec from April to October each year..

Follow me and my work on this page.
Photography is always my primary occupation.

I have some wonderful neighbours, with whom I only speak French. 1 with whom I speak Italian.

Since 2019 and my fist summer here, I have developed ....

Ne Couper pas le Gazon principle.....

Don't Cut the Grass

Nearly 6 years on, the results are transformational.

Peace and Joy
