Good evening, everyone! How are you? How are you spending your evening?

I’m re-reading one of my favourite books - Pride and Prejudice - and just realised I need to put together a list of amazing books to read in 2024!

So saying this, I’m looking forward to hearing your recommendations! Tell me your top 3 favourite books (and ideally why as well) - so I can compile this amazing list of “to read” for this year!

Throwback to two summers ago x
I had longer hair and blonder hair!
The weather was lovely!
We visited Bury St Edmunds and actually took the time to look around and take everything in!
And had some amazing pics taken with Hubby!

It was a perfect day!

PS: contemplating bleaching my hair again x

Good morning on the last day of the year!

I wish this was my view this morning, but unfortunately it's not. Look at that beautiful sunrise and the surrounding nature!

Looks like a perfect place to meditate really (though you may freeze a little in the process!).

Today, I'm saying goodbye to a very full year. The highs have been amazing and the lows really bad, but still, I'm so grateful for everything I've experienced this year.

So if you're having an amazing end of 2023 - good for you! Celebrate and be unapologetically yourself. But if you're spending the last day of 2023 with tears in your eyes and a heaviness in your heart - that's also ok. Feel your feelings. And don't forget: "This too shall pass!'

A heart-breaking story of a young Romanian woman, kidnapped in 2011 from the streets of London, taken to Ireland and s*x-trafficked.
A very powerful, gut retching read.

She was r***d and forced to have s*x with up to 15-20 men a day. She was beaten up, starved and used for the pleasure of others for huge amounts of money. The men paying for s*x knew she was trafficked (she had bruises and scars all over her body and she was upfront about it) but in about 9 months, out of the 15-20 men she saw each day, NO ONE thought this is disgusting and that these women need help/offered to help/contacted the police about it.

She managed to escape her perpetrators, worked with the Irish police to track them down and have them prosecuted (though if you ask me, they received a laughable sentence).

So, if you’re ready for a powerful reality check, I do recommend reading “Slave”. I understand there’s also a tv drama based on the book which is called “Doing Money” and I’ll be checking this next.

I was walking in the park, when a random dog saw me from afar (I was with a group of people). She came straight to me, no hesitation, and laid on the ground in front me. We played and cuddled for a few minutes. Dogs definitely know who their people are! ❤️ ❤️
