Throwback to Bangkok! Facebook reminded me that this time two years ago, I was being completely spoiled during a city break at the Ramada Plaza Bangkok Menam Riverside , where the Club Lounge comes with stunning city and river views, beautiful afternoon tea sets and a rather generous complimentary cocktail hour which we may have taken full advantage of ☺️ https://www.travelinggerman.com/ramada-plaza-bangkok-menam-riverside/
Our stay was generously hosted by the hotel. Not receiving any compensation to rave about it two years later though :-)

On the way back from Menorca to Barcelona on our offshore sailing course last weekend, we had an impromptu whale watching session! These s***m whales, also called cachalots, came to hang out with our sailboat. Check out the guy charging towards the group from the top left at the beginning of the video, and the big guy passing below the boat towards the end!

I'm back from my weeklong adventure at sea! Had an awesome time, learned a ton and made some new friends - look who hung out with us on our way home from Ibiza to Barcelona!

One week from now exactly I will be setting sail with a catamaran team and we'll be racing seventy other boats to Ibiza in the famous Ruta de la Sal regatta. Add that to the list of random adventures I've somehow gotten myself into!

Here's a bucket list item idea for you: driving an ATV up a lava trail to a volcano! I had a ton of fun testing my driving skills in muddy terrain in the Philippines.
