We proudly bring you a passion concept that came to life on Oct 6, 2023, which started as a dream since 2015. Sketched on paper & named after our favorite fish.

Entering the unknown realm of a new cuisine, I had help from kind people along the way that brought me to the right path.

A random japanese stranger I met in the football field that turned into a family friend
helped create the timeless logo & help me with the menu.

A stranger who turned to another fam friend from the international japanese school opened up my mind to the culture & suppliers and brought me to his favorite secret spots to share a meal with him.

Friends who gave me the vote of confidence to deep dive into this project without reservations !

Izakaya Hamachi is a straightforward, unpretentious izakaya, which is made up of three kanji words with the meaning, in order, “stay-drink-place.” A spot to grab a drink, settle in, and get comfortable.

We are PURIST as we only serve everything made in japan from beers , vodka, whisky, sake, gin & and food.

We honor traditional techniques in handling fresh fish for sashimi lessons learned under the mentorship of a chef from Japan.
Using slow fireside robotayaki grill with coconut charcoal.
our products are air-flown from Japan & we are not cutting corners on quality & authenticity of our dishes.

*growing up I used to work here to earn my allowance. Learning from my mentor when we would visit clients homes right after picking me up from school, he would bring me to work. I watched and learned as it all registered in my subconscious. I hope to be as good of a teacher as you're Father.

How does a man find his calling? How do you know what you’re doing is right?
I don’t know — you keep at it. I like building things. I like making things. I liked making plates of food. I was a very happy dishwasher. You know, the plates went into the dishwasher dirty and they came out clean every time. And that felt good. I liked making plates of food. There was a sense of accomplishment every time, even if it was the same plate I made a thousand, or 10 thousand, times. It satisfied me. I liked making our episodes of television. How do you find your calling? For me, I like to create things or be part of the creation of things. Whether it’s a comic book, or a book, or a tv show, or a plate of food. If I just laid in bed all day with a big tube feeding me money, I would not be a happy guy. I need to make stuff. I need a fu***ng job. I think everybody does.
