Thank you, Joanne and Neil, for trusting us and going birding along Route 101 in .

We saw beautiful and remarkable bird species and enjoyed the experience of spotting a Pavonine Cuckoo and a Long-tailed Potoo. Among other challenging birds we had wonderful conversations and a great time.

We were also lucky to cross paths with the Pavonine Cuckoo at the same time as you Julian from It was a pleasure to see you, colleague and friend, and to share such amazing sightings.

Thank you, Joanne and Neil, for trusting us and going birding along Route 101 in . We saw beautiful and remarkable bird species and enjoyed the experience of spotting a Pavonine Cuckoo and a Long-tailed Potoo. Among other challenging birds, we also saw the Rufous-capped Motmot and had wonderful conversations. I really enjoyed your visit.

A Birding walk through the Interior Atlantic Forest with Rick and Amy, where we witnessed the awakening of this vibrant habitat, full of life forms and sounds calling us to see birds like the Common Potoo, Surucua Trogon and the Blackish Rail (these are the ones I managed to photograph—Rick will soon share his own on s***a that will be fantastic.

LECHUZON MOCHO GRANDE
Pulsatrix perspicillata

Lechuzon hermoso e imponente, poco común y muy vistoso, presente cerca de las Cataratas del Iguazu.  Sin "orejas" y con dibujo de X blanco puro en la cara, a diferencia del Lechuzón Mocho Chico, que es endémico de la Selva Atlántica interior (post anterior). Con quien comparte selva en esta zona, también espectacular pero con cejas de color canela anteadas,  confundibles.
El Mocho Grande tiene ojos amarillos, pecho con una cinta parda, barriga uniforme, amrillenta. Este nos demuestra presencia con su canto, una sequencia descendente de ventrilocuo ulular ko-ko-ko... al final acelerada perdiendo fuerza.  Unas vocalizaciones, se gira y vuela silenciosamente a otras perachas para permanecer en area unos 30 minutos mas  aproximadamente. Avistaje y selva hermosos que te esperan para ser compartidos.

Two beautiful non-passerine birds that display green and olive-brown colors, blackish, yellowish-green, red, glossy black with bronzed green reflections. They share marsh habitats and have magnificent vocalizations.

Aguila Negra Great Black Hawk Urubitinga/Urubutinga Gavilan Cangrejero Con apecto de aguila y pudiendo superar los 60cm, esta ave rapaz habita gran parte del continente americano neotreopical, desde Mexico hasta Noredeste de Argentina, en ambientes cerca del agua, donde pesca o se alimenta de pichones de aves acuaticas, entre otras cosas como lagartijas, sapos, serpientes o ratas. En esta oportunidad tuvimos las suerte de ver un inmaduro, color pardo con estrías. Posado y vocalizando esta llamada probablemte por la presencia de un maduro, de color negro con base de cola blanca que trambien vimos. Gracias por la onda Martino y Gabi. Seguiremos pajareando y compartiendo!!
