Clean Slate Events was formed by a team of Austin professionals (Robin Emmerich, Courtney Harding and Brian Kirk) with the intent to create a new, authentic atmosphere for professionals to connect with like-minded people in the city. Stemming from their own frustrations at an after-hour networking event, the three friends put their ideas and actions into place. Unlike classic networking or sociali
zing events, where attendees blindly mix and mingle, the format of Clean Slate is unique. Individuals customize name tags with their interests and hobbies as they arrive so they can be drawn to others with the same interests. The event also includes several local business sponsors providing attendees with information and free advice.
“Whether you come to meet friends, find a date, or meet new career connections, or to just contribute to a greater cause,” said Emmerich. “Clean Slate is the perfect opportunity to focus on personal and professional goals, mix and mingle with new people and give back to the community.”
A portion of the proceeds benefit the Wrapped in Love Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to providing love and comfort to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy by creating and donating handmade blankets.
