IMPORTANT: We are asked ALL THE TIME about our best advice for those trying to plan a vacation for the first time in 2-3 years. Our advice is simple and has three steps: PLAN NOW, BE FLEXIBLE, and USE A TRAVEL PROFESSIONAL.

Many of the top vacation options - especially accessible options during the upcoming winter (and even next summer's high season in Europe) are already booked solid and at regular (or even higher) prices than pre-pandemic. It seems not taking a vacation for a couple of years has caused a bit of a rush now that things have opened back up in most parts of the world. The US State Department’s online passport renewal service is now open (again). See the details here - and renew soon if you need to. This opening is on a trial basis only, with a full opening happening "early next year" according to the US DOS.
