Had a chance to do a short tour of St. Stephens today. Went up to the top of the North Tower and Wow, the view of the city is stunning. Equally stunning is the Roof Tiles, they are so colorful and beautiful. This Church is really big, beautiful and very gothic in style. Between the tower, the nave and the catacombs there is a lot to see here. Its really quite stunning.

A visit to the St. Stephens Cathedral's Catacombs today in Vienna. Sadly couldn't take many photos, but it is in pristine condition and holds many Priests, Bishops and Cardinals. In many cases the most. wealthy of the Hapsburg family. And many of them wanted to be buried in multiple churches throughout Austria. So in some there are their bones, in others their organs are housed in copper pots and filled with alcohol to preserve them. The coffins you see are all copper and the big room with all the coffins in the round are the Hapsburg family

What a fun experience. A Classic Music concert at St. Peter’s Cathedral in Vienna. A Violin Concerto, was so good.

The Gastronomy tour continues. Today is National Sacher Torte day in Vienna. The Sacher Torte was created in 1832 by a 16 year old who wasn’t sure what to do and just made it his own, at the request of a prince. It has been served the exact same way since 1832. After our cake, the waiter treated us by sneaking us through the back passage way of the Hotel through the Red Room to the Blue Bar where we enjoyed cocktails and people watching. What a fun evening.

Today is total Gastronomy day. Oh boy. A nearly 4 hour lunch at Steirereck (one of the 50 best restaurants in the World)...

Today is total Gastronomy day. Oh boy. A nearly 4 hour lunch at Steirereck (one of the 50 best restaurants in the World). 4 course meal with Wine Pairings, 7 different Amuse Buche. The restaurant is beautiful, the service impeccable.

Night time in Vienna. the lights are strewn over the roads and walkways, it's just beautiful. The cathedral is St. Stephens Cathedral. Have not toured that yet, but will in a day or so, and their Catacombs too.

A fun day out and about Vienna. Much more to see tonight when all the Lights throughout the City are on.

This may be the smallest hotel room I’ve been in. And it’s a Hilton. It’s cute though and they have a speakeasy in the basement, so I’ll see how that goes later.

My hotel in Rome is perfectly situated at Campo Di Fiori. I love this square and love the view from the roof top terrace. @hotelboutiquecampodefiori
