Hello! With near freezing weather setting in, I thought it would be a great time to start a journey with my fellow Londoners and those from further afield. I felt that though there are some great London themed profiles out there, there isn’t really one that shows the typical daily life of your average Londoner. They tend to be: great photography from almost inaccessible locations for the majority or super pricey restaurants that are also not accessible to the many. Now don’t get me wrong, these are great profiles that serve the purpose of showing off this great city. However, my mission is to share what I believe makes London great: the communal daily life we all share as Londoners. Londoners are not defined by being just born here, but also those who have come from further afield to make this city their home. In turn they have added to the great cultural vibrancy of London. So what I intend to share is what we all have in common: the morning commute; meeting friends for drinks after work; going to visit your family on the weekend for a roast; showing off London to your relatives abroad; playing Sunday league football etc.
This is not just about what it has to offer going out, but also gives you ideas of what you can do when staying in! London can seem an overwhelming place, but if you take a step back away from all the rush, you will see the beauty within it and why those that live here find it difficult to leave. I hope you like my page and find some form of inspiration from it. I also promise my posts won’t be this long again! It’s a London diary by your average Londoner obsessed with this city. Feel free to comment or DM. Last but not least, welcome!
So to my first post, which was my morning commute via bike. It was freezing, but going through the tranquility of it was easy to forget that it was Just look at that sunrise!
