I get it - every vacation needs some down time and space to explore on your own. But having a professional tour guide makes all the difference and really brings color to your trip!
Guides can:
📍Educate
💡Enlighten
🤣Entertain
➡️Connect tourism and local communities
🍗Recommend restaurants, shops, hidden gems, locals’ favorite spots, and what to stay away from
💚Know your preferences and make arrangements in advance (like securing the front passenger seat for me to avoid car sickness!!)
Hiring good local guides supports sustainable tourism that benefits the people and the places we visit.
I’ll help connect you with great, vetted guides!

Sometimes I enjoy being swept off my feet with music. In any country. (Cusco is 11,150 feet, Bachelor Gulch is 9560 feet. 😱)

Just a six hour flight from Houston, south of the Equator, major metropolitan city on the ocean, with a long history….where am I?

So. Much. Fun. Mijikenda Village in one of the Sacred Kaya Forests which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. They showed us their traditional herbalism, daily village activities, special rites, and welcomed us warmly. They sincerely thanked us for visiting and helping to support their community. And @getaholdoftodd had another opportunity to play the drums, which created more dancing opportunities! I told the village that I knew they wanted to keep him, but he’s coming home with me.

Mombasa on the Indian Ocean
I love ending a trip relaxing at the beach, and Mombasa did not disappoint! It was hot and humid with a perfect breeze. We snorkeled, ate, drank, slept, and repeated. 😎 As usual, the hospitality was fantastic, and the ladies at PrideInn have really perfected the art of chapati. Wish I packed my suitcase with it.

Maasai Mara - Staying here - part 2/3
We stayed in a tented camp, Ngenche Mara. I was a little nervous because I’m not a camper, but this place was quite comfortable. The walls may be canvas, but they kept out wind, rain, bugs, and stray animals from the Talak and Mara Rivers that were steps away. The food was great and the staff were wonderful. We heard hippos grunting but never once felt uncomfortable (ignorance may be bliss??). Maasai guards escorted us in the dark. And we had the best internet here!
There are about 250 camps and lodges in The Mara - I can help you find the one that’s just right for you!

Crater Safari Lodge was a great home base for the start of our Ugandan adventure! We went on nature hikes, visited the local Bigodi village (all pictures were encouraged!), and went chimp trekking in the rain. The food was wonderful, the views outstanding, and the staff were fabulously attentive!
