Exciting weekend ahead for me!
I’ll be heading to the 2024 Travel Counsellors Conference at Manchester Central! It's going to be an incredible time catching up with our amazing suppliers and other Travel Counsellors and celebrating 30 years of TC. Autumn is a beautiful time to visit and experience castles, culture, delicious food and incredible scenary. They had an amazing time and sent me these wonderful photos 😊

A few months ago a lovely couple asked for my help planning their honeymoon around Italy and Greece, including Venice, Florence, Athens and ending in Corfu for some beach time.

I asked them to let me know how they got on and have had the loveliest feedback 😍

"Hi Lisa,

Yes got back last night thank you.

It was truely magical, we couldn't have had a better time.

Florence is stunning, the hotel was so cute and the owner had some great recommendations for us.
Walking to the Forte di Belvedere for a drink and view over Florence is incredible, we also did the Boboli Gardens at the same time, these are an incredible sight. I think doing these really made Florence memorable and would recommend.

The wine tasting in the chianti hills is definitely the best excursion we have done, everyone involved was amazing, the first half really captured the beauty and the second half was really educational about wine tasting.

We definitely plan to go back to Florence.

Venice is an incredible place, definitely the busiest and most expensive place we visited.
The hotel was really lovely, a great choice.
Venice is definitely a must do, we thought 3 days is enough time to do everything.

Athens is mesmerising, a very diverse city with some stunning sights.
The south of the city is amazing. We loved the Acropolis, it was a brilliant experience, loved every minute of it. The temple of Zeus isnt much to see, however we also did the Temple of Hephaestus, this was also brilliant and would recommend.
Again 3 days felt like enough time, this is something we would likely revisit. The hotel was lovely, though we might stay further South next time.

We were breathtaken with Domes of Corfu, and didnt leave the resort for the 3 days. It was the most perfect way to finish the honeymoon, we are already looking at the possibility of returning here next year.

I stayed at this amazing hotel a few years ago and still picture the beach here when I think of paradise! The jungle comes down to the sand, so you have monkeys swinging past your balcony and you can kayak around the most incredible tranquil bay right by the hotel. Cholita Wrestling - latest addition to my travel wish list :)
My client Sam is in La Paz, Bolivia and told me she was going to see this today. I'd never heard of it, but it looks brilliant!

"Bolivia’s cholitas luchadoras first began practicing their craft in the early 2000’s when a group of women in El Alto created a circle of luchadoras inspired by Mexico’s lucha libre style of wrestling. This circle was partly for recreation and entertainment, but also partly as a way for women who suffered domestic abuse to take out their frustration and stress. Later, the Titanes del Ring league decided to introduce women fighters as a way to boost ticket sales and gain publicity, and invited these practiced women to join".

I have wonderful memories of this magical theme park from my childhood and still love it now. There's an enchanted forest filled with musical toadstools and all your favourite fairytale characters, plus some very special indoor rides such as the Droomvlucht (Dream flight) where you fly through a series of magical worlds. Plus all the epic roller-coasters and other thrill rides some crazy people apparently like 😁.
