We're delighted to announce the winner of our Very Impawtant Pooch Competition! 🏆

Congratulations to the Jones family from Bradford, with springer spaniels Lottie and Willow, ( on Instagram) who will enjoy a stay in a dog-friendly glamping cabin at Waterfoot Park near Pooley Bridge in the spring. As part of their adventures, they will also jump on board our two Lake District attractions - Ullswater Steamers and Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway Co.Ltd

Leanne Jones, said: “We’re thrilled that our girls have won this competition! They are an integral part of our family and have come to love the Lake District whilst visiting with us many times every year. We’ve also found that this beautiful part of the world supports my 11-year old disabled son’s mental health. The whole family is looking forward to getting out and promoting even more spectacular areas and dog-friendly settings.”

Due to the high standard of entries, two runners-up prizes have also been awarded. Attractions tickets for Ullswater Steamers and Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway go to the families of Bella the American Akita (.akita) from North Lincolnshire and Ted the black Labrador (.teddington), based locally near Penrith.

This , we're proud to share our commitment to improving accessibility at Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway!

This year, we installed a brand-new Changing Places facility, thanks to grant-funding from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, in association with Muscular Dystrophy UK, making it easier for everyone, including those with complex needs, to fully enjoy the beautiful Lake District experience. The facility offers extra space and specialised equipment, ensuring comfort and dignity for all our visitors. 💜
