Hey everyone, sorry I haven't posted in a few days. I didn't mention this earlier because I was having so much fun at the convention, but on the first day I tripped and fell going up some stairs (yes, I did a biden). I may have cracked some ribs, so the last few nights I have been trying to get a lot of rest. Here are a few pictures of driving to mt. Rushmore and through Colorado.

Last day - I got to be on the floor for about an hour and a half. I left the floor right before Tucker.

Day 3. This morning I drove to Madison and got to see Vivaek and Sid Miller. This evening I got to spend time on the floor until 7:30.

I went to the delegation hotel this morning and picked up my credentials, hat, gift bag with with all kinds of stuff and a belt buckle that someone from our CD10 designed for us in our CD. Afterwards I drove to Milwaukee and checked into my room. I then went to a hotel that the Louisiana delegation is staying at and rode the GOP express bus to the welcome event. The welcome event was amazing. There was all kinds of food and desserts (all provided free for us). There was a cover band, remarks from the mayor of Milwaukee as well as others. We then were treated to a concert by Trace Adkins and a fireworks show. Tomorrow the business portion of the convention starts tomorrow with voting on various things. The Delegate that I am paired with is stuck in NYC and will not get into Milwaukee till early evening tomorrow and so I get to replace him on the floor and I will get to vote. I never imagined that I would get the chance to vote since I am an alternate. I am soooo excited!

Day 2 - Saturday. I drove from Arkansas into St. Louis, Missouri. I stopped in St. Louis to go see the arch. I went to the top as well as looking around their museum. It was very interesting. I then headed towards Wisconsin. Along the way I say a giant pink elephant sculpture and then a giant Trump sculpture. I found a way to pull over and take pictures. Illinois is nothing but farmland where I was driving, so seeing a Trump sculpture along the road was very much unexpected. I took pictures and later went back to look at them and realized that the time stamp was at the same time Trump was shot. Unbelievable coincidence. Really strange. I eventually made my way to Madison, Wisconsin. I drove a total of 567 miles.

In light of the recent shooting, I will update my day 2 adventures tomorrow. Prayers for Trump, his family and the families of the innocent Trump supporters who lost their lives or were injured today.

Picked up my rental car and drove to Jonesboro, Arkansas. Ironically I am having dinner at Texas Roadhouse tonight in Arkansas. I drove 649 miles today.

Only 2 days till I leave for Wisconsin

Leaving Bastrop on July 12th to drive to the RNC Convention in Wisconsin. The convention is July 15th to 18th. I will return to Bastrop on July 23rd. Join me on my journey driving through America to the convention and back home. I will be making stops in St. Louis at the arch headed to Wisconsin, and Mt. Rushmore on the return trip home.
