Proof that miracles happen! As our travelers know, Mrs. Aragon’s suitcase was stolen off of the plane when we landed in London. We spent hours on the phone that first night with London police and Mrs. Aragon was notified on our way to the Barcelona airport on the last day of our trip that it had been located. This morning she picked it up in the Amarillo airport! HALLELUJAH!!

Ok, parents! We are aboard our aircraft in Barcelona and about to push back from the gate. Time will be tight in DFW, but barring anything crazy, we should see you all tonight in Amarillo at 10:13 PM Texas time.

Today is a bittersweet day as we say adios to Espana and Europe! Your kids are all coming home WORLD TRAVELERS and it’s our sincere hope that this trip has sparked an interest in travel that will stay with them for a lifetime! That being said, our flight out of Barcelona has been delayed by 2 hours! Our original flight plans called for a 3 hour layover, so with any luck we should still land in Amarillo on time. So we shall see you all tonight at 10:13PM (CST)

It’s our last night in Spain!😪 So, after an incredible dinner at a beautiful restaurant in the middle of the city, we got back to the hotel and had free time! I’ll let you all guess what they wanted to do! 🏊🏼😃🏊🏻‍♀️

The last thing on our Barcelona itinerary was La Pedrera - the House of Gaudi! Barcelona is often referred to as the ‘City of Gaudi’ because Antoni Gaudi was once its most famous resident because of his unique architecture. Gaudi designed the front of the La Sagrada Familia (the dark, gothic side), Park Guell (which we visited yesterday) and his own house, pictured below. Most thought he was crazy, but now we know he was just ahead of his time. Check out the architecture in this house with pictures from the attic and the roof.

Some of our group felt a little adventurous this morning and we decided to bike our way through some of the most beautiful parts of Barcelona! Not everyone wanted to ride, so they shipped (look out parents😃). Unfortunately, when our group arrived they divided us in half, so some of the pictures only show half of our group until we all came together at the end!
P.S. the bubbles in the first group picture are real, not filtered.

Dinner at Maremagnum - directly on the Mediterranean Sea! We had a 5 course meal and a dessert! This was a fantastic dinner and our kids devoured it!
