A break in the storm gave us beautiful blue skies up here at the Ski Park to kick off the weekend. We expect to be back in the clouds by this afternoon with several feet of fresh snow potentially yet to come. The incoming extreme weather conditions may impact operations throughout the weekend with potential delayed openings or wind holds. Please be patient with our teams as we manage the large dumping of snow.

Mt. Shasta Ski Park has seen 2 feet of fresh powder over the last 24 hours! The top of Douglas base is up to 70” after yesterday’s winter storm. More snow expected today and tomorrow, but amounts won’t be as much. ⛷️🏂❄️

Our team has been hard at work to get as much of the mountain ready for you as possible, but low snow conditions do still exist so please respect mountain closures as they are in place for your safety.

Ski season is here. Make your reservations now while we still have availability. We sleep 10 and it’s a 15 minute ride to the lifts!!!

We are very excited to announce an opening date of Wednesday, January 10th!
This weekend and early next week's storms and low temperatures should allow us to get the hill ready for you all to enjoy. While we are ecstatic to be getting open, low snow conditions do exist and there are potential hazards, especially off-piste. We ask that all guests stick to open runs and respect mountain closures, they are there for your safety and the safety of our staff.
The enthusiasm we are experiencing from you all is appreciated, however we ask that you refrain from coming to the Ski Park until we are officially open. There is a lot that needs to be done in order for us to get open and that includes heavy machinery moving around the base area and in the parking lots. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation!

Snow Update:
We are finally seeing snow with more predicted in the forecast! Yesterday's storm brought about 9" in the base area, which is a great start, but not enough to get open just yet. Colder temperatures will finally allow the team to make snow and with a few more storms lined up, we are optimistic about announcing an opening date in the very near future. Stay tuned for more updates as the snow continues to fall.

This has been one heck of a season with a WILD amount of snow coming down. It feels like every week we are passing another "milestone" when it comes to snow totals. This winter isn't over yet! Get next year's season pass now to take advantage of this epic season.

Plenty of ski season left!!!!

It's Never Ending!
Another 2 feet of fresh snow overnight and it is a beautiful bluebird powder day. Our team is hard at work digging the lifts out but expect some delays. Marmot is currently open to the public and we will be working on Douglas, then Coyote, and Gray Butte.
Ski Park Highway is clear, but chains or 4x4 are required. Check your local road conditions before leaving to avoid any closures.
Thank the team today, they have been shoveling for several months nonstop to get you on the hill.

National and regional news has indicated Northern California is on fire so we wanted to share some perspective. The McKinney Fire is 45 minutes north of Mount Shasta with the smoke drifting north into Oregon. We woke up to cool temperatures, blue skies and good air quality in McCloud. Hope to see you soon!

The "Cabin" is our original property (sleeps 10) and is located in a quiet meadow under the shadow of majestic Mt. Shasta.
