Breaking the winter in the sun !!
5* We have had eight weeks in Farmhouse Villa 2 we originally booked for seven but enjoyed it so much asked for an extra week, we would have stayed longer but for the 90 day ruling!! Which in itself tells you everything Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts Nigel and Gus, the attention to detail is exceptional. The Villa is superbly equipped with everything you could possibly need, the outside and inside spaces are wonderful .., a really safe haven Set in the midst of farmland you see a great diversity of birdlife whilst being peaceful Two nice local villages are within easy walking distance, with bakery, pharmacy, bars and eatery’s Easy driving to the beach and bigger towns We really have had a wonderful winter getaway and would recommend Ponda Rosa to everyone.

Many people ask why we return to Pondo-Rosa every year - the answer is simply that we love it ! We found this gem over 9 years ago and never leave without booking the following year - why ? Because once you’ve been you’ll never find anything else that ticks all the boxes like these do ! We alternate between the two villas year on year and love them both for different reasons ! It’s like ‘coming home ‘ and meeting up again with Nigel and Gus is akin to meeting up with family - these guys are just amazing - from the warm welcome on arrival, they are on hand for any issues you may have, which is very rare, but it’s a comfort knowing they can be contacted if need be - they are not just the owners, their number one priority is making sure you have a holiday to remember ! This year we stayed in FH2 - my favourite for the amazing large modern kitchen, better equipped than my own home ! The lounge is bright breezy and fresh, and even though we spend most of our time on the beautiful terrace, it’s a room for tranquility if you need it ! All Bedrooms have ample furniture for unpacking that case and putting everything away for the duration ! Location is amazing - we love the rural countryside and avoid the hustle and bustle of larger tourist towns - access to local villages is simple and direct and everything you need is a short drive away ! As the title suggests, not booking or overlooking these farmhouses is a regret you’ll have to live with ! Thanks Nigel and Gus, I’m already packed for next year !!!

Amazing Villa
For a stay in Jun 2023
We have just arrived home from a fantastic stay at Pondo Rosa Villa 1 having had the most amazing time. We travelled as a mixed group of 9 ranging from 2-61 years old and anything in-between. We chose Pondo Rosa because of the range of facilities. it offered to keep everyone amused and entertained and it most definitely did not disappoint. I cannot think of one thing that we needed that was not already provided in the villa. My granddaughter was especially thrilled with the children's play area, whilst my sons, nephews and husband spent plenty of time playing darts and table tennis. We were even able to have a mini family games day where we competed in teams playing table tennis, darts, connect 4, water polo, swimming races etc. The pool was very welcoming when the temperature stated to rise. Nigel and Gus make a great team and provide an excellent service right from the moment I made first contact to enquire about the villa many months ago. I cannot recommend the whole experience enough and the family are already working out when we can arrange a return visit. Fantastic Villa, we look forward to returning soon. Thanks again Nigel & Gus

THE IMPORTANCE OF A TOURIST LICENSE.
Throughout Spain all holiday rental accommodation must have a Tourist License. In Costa Blanca (Alicante province in Valencia region) the number will take the format VT-123456-A and be displayed on a red plaque at the property.
Unlicensed properties are illegal to let for holiday purposes. Fines are large for owners but there are also implications to the holiday maker to be considered. Unlicensed holiday properties are uninsured, the holiday maker has no cover at the property; the holiday maker's own travel insurance could be invalidated; the standard of the property could be below required levels, including safety standards; the property may not comply with the required m2 per person on bedroom space; the owner is tax evading and therefore if the renter is aware the property is unlicensed may find themselves implicated in any case against the owner. Should the authorities become aware of the property being let illegally and visit, the unfortunate holiday maker in situ will be evicted from the property with no obligation on the authorities to find them alternative accommodation. If no License number is provided there is also a risk that the property advertised is a scam and the holiday maker can find themselves with no accommodation at all!
License numbers can be verified on an official website where details of the property and maximum occupation are included in public details.

Our last 2 guest reviews for June 2022. Feeling overwhelmed.

ANOTHER FANTASTIC STAY AT PONDOROSA.
Our 8th returning year - why ? Because we just love Pondo Rosa villas ! Every facility available and it’s like coming home ! Every year we find this is the perfect location to get out and explore the local community - ideally located to so many bustling local towns ! Nigel and Gus are amazing hosts and their goal to ensure you have the best holiday starts the minute you arrive. They’ve literally thought of everything - from sewing kits to hair dryers, table tennis to shaded kids play areas, the villas really have it all! Thanks for another great stay - see you in September !

ABSOLUTE DELIGHT.
This was our 2nd visit to this amazing Villa, We totally forgot how lovely it was and everything that is has to offer, Better than we remembered. Will not be our last visit. Already looking at dates for next year. Thank you both for such a warm welcome and helping us during our stay. We have never been looked after so well in a holiday rental. Its certainly is a 5* without a doubt and would 100% recommend it to anyone. Thank you again Nigel & Gus. Wonderful.
