Lungshan Temple (龍山寺, also spelled Longshan Temple) is one of the most famous and historically significant temples in Taiwan. Located in the Wanhua District of Taipei, it was originally built in 1738 by settlers from Fujian, China. The temple is dedicated to Guanyin, the Buddhist goddess of mercy, but it also houses deities from Taoism and Chinese folk religions, making it a key spiritual center for locals.
