FAQ

Q: What documents do I need to take a cruise?

A: Passports from your country of citizenship are the gold standard. Make sure you have an updated passport with at least 6 months. Your name MUST match with the name on the booking.

Q: I don't have a passport. Can I use my birth certificate on a closed-loop cruise (departs and returns to a U.S. port)?

A: Some US based sailings will allow you to sail with a state-certified, birth certificate issued by the government (no photocopies). You will also need a valid government photo ID, like a driver's license. Your name must match across all documents. Guests 15 and under may use only a birth certificate.

I usually only post about the amazing parts of our vacations. But what happens when things go wrong? Enter.... the medical center.

This is from our cruise in November 2022. We had to visit the medical center three times that week. Turns out Leo had hand, foot, and mouth. 🤦‍♀️ Luckily he recovered within a few days and was feeling great by our last day.

It was nice to see the medical center. It's definitely not equipped for all situations, but they can handle more than you think.

It's not too late, Moms. Schools are out soon. Drop the kids off at their grandparents and sneak away for a long weekend with the girls! You deserve it. ❤️
