We also run a boutique B&B in the main house.

Handwritten guest feedback after a retreat is hard to beat, especially when it’s as lovely as this. We had a great time looking after Scott and his guests this weekend. The sun shone, Co. Down looked particularly lovely and everyone has gone home happy.

Half term is coming…. Yay! Wouldn’t you like to get away??? The good news is that we have availability in the stables right over the half term period from Friday 10th to Sunday 19th Feb and flexibility on stay duration, come for 2 nights, come for a week. Big Monday shout out to and all the warriors who came on retreat at the house this weekend. Another fantastic bunch of people and we loved hosting you all. Ryan is back in March with another weekend of joy and more dates coming later in the year.

If you watch the news you would probably assume that the world is full of horrible people. If you have people come and stay in your home on a weekend like the last one, your world is full of lovely people. Top tip, if you still watch the news, stop. Otherwise, after a couple of days of calm, a chance to reflect on another brilliant weekend here at Bryansford Cottage as we hosted our final retreat of the year. Fittingly, it was to welcome back Ronan - who was our first retreat of 2022 as well. Bookended by breathing. Ably assisted by Fiona it was a super weekend. Repeat visitors and a special shout out to the local yokels (I think it's even more nerve-wracking to have friends come to an event). Just such a joy to look after everyone doing the work. We're now taking a rest from retreats in December - time to do some floor sanding and get ready for Christmas visitors. There is still some availability in the Stables leading up to Christmas so if you'd like a pre-Christmas getaway, do get in touch. We have not one, not two but THREE weekends planned for January - what a great way to start the new year by giving yourself the gift of a weekend in beautiful Co. Down. Contact us for details. We also have a host of other bookings already slotting in nicely. It was great to have so many full house weekends over the last year, thanks to all the practitioners who trusted us to host them and their guests. Looking forward to more of that...

Well that was quite the weekend. We were delighted to welcome and back to Bryansford Cottage with these beautiful souls for a weekend of retreat, relaxation and a big dose of nature. The weather was kind, there was a first ever sound bath in the garden, there were dips in Tollymore, buckets (if you know you know 🐸) and much joy and connection. Next one coming soon, keep an eye out for dates coming up soon.

How much is that doggy in the window? Priceless. Because she's a dog and you can't put a price on that. This is Lucy. She came on hols this week with her sister Lexi and they brought their respective humans with them. Everyone is having a lovely time. Lucy and Lexi have enjoyed walks in Tollymore, rolling in the grass in the garden and chilling in the Stables out of the unusual bursts of heat. Lucy however has bagsied the best seat in the house for observation purposes. The Stables are dog-friendly because we think dogs like Lucy should get to go on holidays with their families. When we travelled 'home' from London, we were often left with slim pickings on the accommodation front because we would never leave Dougal behind. And so when we renovated the Stables, we had doggy visitors in mind too. We're fully booked up over the summer but we've got availability in September which is the perfect time to come and have a nice break in the country, lovely walks in crisp country air and your four legged friends can roll around in the fallen leaves. We also accept well behaved humans so don't worry if you don't have a dog, you can come anyway😄

There won’t be any ice plunges in the garden bath for a while as we have a new guest. This little newt has taken up residence at least temporarily. He has been an endless source of fascination today. If you fancy some nature exploring of your own, why not come visit. The Stables have some availability mid August, contact us directly for B & B, still a few spots this month.

The wee man showing the big dude some of the best spots in Tollymore ahead of next weekend’s retreat amd are hosting here at Lovely to be able show Ryan and Tara around some amazing spots that will give retreat guests a glimpse of some hidden gems in the park. This one is fully booked but stay tuned for future events. In the meantime, excited to welcome a whole new gaggle of guests next weekend, prep already underway for a really special one

Blue skies for the final bit of roof repair. We’re not sure how long it’s been since these particular slates were put on but it’s been a while for sure. Giving it some love before it became a thing. Obviously the best time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining (apparently a JFK quote) and it’s the same with holidays. Book one before you actually need it. We have availability in June in both the B&B and the Stables. Come get yourself some R&R under our lovely new roof.
